I believe that the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world.
I believe all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of kinship, love and tolerance.
I don't believe in distinction of any kind, such as
- race, colour, ethnicity, nationality
- sex, gender identity
- sexual orientation
- language, culture
- religion, spirituality
- political opinion
- any opinion
- origin (social, national or any other kind)
- age
- weight, size
- looks, beauty or lack of it
- disability or illness, visible or invisible, of mind or body
- property, wealth
- birth
- other status or identity

Biden won, Trump lost, but will they get over it? Hell no :-D

It is hard. I keep thinking about Joe Biden's acceptance speech

They chose two songs, that go so well together with the First Lady's message

They chose "(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher" and "Higher Love".

I so want to go higher, but I am only a human. It's really hard not to respond in kind.

It feels like the best way to deal with those idiots is to ignore them. And, it is a the best way, if you cannot stop yourself from stooping on their level when discussing with them.

I often fail, which is why it's hard for me to remember what's really going on here.

1) You are not trying to win a debate with these people. That will never happen.

As George Bernard Shaw said, "Never wrestle with pigs. You both get dirty and the pig likes it."

I said "it's like butting your head against the wall. The wall doesn't change, you just get headache."

You will NEVER get them to understand or admit ANYTHING.

What you are doing is getting THE AUDIENCE to understand things. You are educating everyone who reads the discussion, and there are a lot of those people around.

If you were trying to win the debate, you would need to stoop to their level, and use dirty tricks, and make yourself obstinate idiot. I mean, come on, do you really want that? If you engage with them on their level, you will prove to the audience that their message is just as valid as yours. And even though their opinion and political leaning is as valid as yours, most of their arguments are not. People should be forming their opinion based on facts, not emotions. This is not a popularity contest. They think it is. Let them.

2) They are just the dross on a melting pot. The scum floating on top of molten metal, at first glance all you can see. Don't make the mistake that these people are anything more valuable than that. You get them to appear by heating up the ore.
