Why people voted for Trump, part I

It is important to listen to people. People who don't like Trump often brush off, ignore, or harass people who explain why they vote for Trump, just because they are open about it. That is not OK. In fact, being mean to these people is very stupid, because they are telling us exactly what we did wrong.

So, I'm going to respond to all "why I vote(d) for Trump" posts I can find, and I'll start with this one:
Why I'm Voting for Donald Trump

"Donald Trump, Joe Biden, Mike Pence, and Kamala Harris, are all either intentionally lying to the American people, or they are so disconnected from reality that they actually believe the lies they tell on a daily basis."

Are they lying?

Here's a fact check on "Obama's 50 lies"

I'm not expecting you to believe ANY site as it is, I am expecting you to verify the information yourself.

I'm giving you an example here:

1) Selma Got Me Born – LIAR, your parents felt safe enough to have you in 1961 – Selma had no effect on your birth, as Selma was in 1965.

Barack Obama never said "Selma got me born".
What he did say was: "And this young man named Barack Obama got one of those tickets and came over to this country. And he met this woman, whose great-, great-, great-, great-grandfather had owned slaves, but she had a different idea. There's some good craziness going on because they looked at each other and they decided, we know that in the world as it has been it might not be possible for us to get together and have a child. But something stirred across the country because of what happened in Selma, Alabama, because some folks were willing to march across a bridge. And so they got together, Barack Obama Jr. was born."

Which is, of course, not true, because Barack Obama was born 1961, and Selma was in 1965.

Just because it's not true, it doesn't mean it's lying. Lying is telling a falsehood well knowing it's a falsehood with the intention to deceive.

Now... one could assume Barack Obama wrote the speech, and had a chance to check the details. He should be aware of the timeline. Which means, that yes, this is a lie.

So, how "bad" a lie is it?  The sentiment is true. In 50s and 60s a lot of things happened, that made it easier for a white woman and a black man to have a child together. A lot of things happened, that made both Selma and Barack Obama Jr. possible. What happened at Selma made it possible for Barack Obama to have the career he had. One could say Selma did bear Barack Obama jr.

It's up to you to deem how "bad" the "lie" is. I don't think it's bad. I don't think it's relevant. I think it's stupid of him to say this, because it's very easy to verify and be found to be falsehood.

2) Father Was A Goat Herder – LIAR, he was a privileged, well educated youth, who went on to work with the Kenyan Government.

Not a lie. His father was a goat herder. It doesn't matter that he was herding his father's goats.

And so on and so forth. Some of these "lies" are lies, some are not.

So take all these "lies" you believe Donald Trump, Joe Biden, Mike Pence, and Kamala Harris have said,
check if they actually said them,
check the context,
check if it was a falsehood,
check if it was told knowingly and with intention,
and then consider what was lied about, why, when, how, to whom, and how grievous the lie is.

President Obama saying Selma got him born is pretty harmless, President Trump saying Barack Obama and Kamala Harris aren't natural born Americans is bad.

Consider the consequences.

Barack Obama's lie about being born because of Selma makes Selma appear more important than it is. Not Barack Obama. What's the harm in that? No, it's a serious question. What do you think is the harm in complimenting a town you are visiting, a town which is a place of an important part of American history?

Trump's birther lies make the whole democratic system suspicious. If they can't even guarantee that the President candidates are valid, can they guarantee anything? If they can't, why trust them? If you can't trust them, why have Presidential elections at all? Why have any conditions on who can become a President? Why have a President?
It also throws shade on every American born on foreign soil, every child of every immigrant, and the children of teen-aged mothers. That's quite a chunk of Americans. If you are OK with believing Barack Obama and Kamala Harris aren't Americans, you are OK with believing ANYBODY could be "not American". And then what is the name "American" worth? Nothing. Just a belief. Just a word that means nothing.

And remember, that everyone lies.

Now, let's get to the actual article and Craig's reasoning

I, personally, see the choice of Amy Coney Barrett as a serious threat to the civil rights of USonians. Might be that same sex marriage and abortion rights aren't going to be taken away, but which ever similar issues are coming to the table will be judged by a very limited, prejudiced, conservative moral standards.

I didn't see any "strong economy" before Covid-19, OTHER THAN THAT OBAMA STARTED.

If one read the statistics correctly, one will see that EVERY economical improvement, stability, growth, was started already while Obama was the President. There isn't any change to the growth curve during Trump's presidency. Obama created more jobs than Trump. It's just that Bush lost a huge amount of jobs, Obama had to start in a ditch, and he has been digging USA out of the damn ditch, and now Trump is taking the credit while all he did was NOT to destroy the programs.

No-body has tried to diminish people's right to self-defense, so saying "I think Trump has done an OK job, as the right to self-defense is intact" is about as stupid as saying "I think Trump has done an OK job, because I can still eat my favorite sausages for breakfast." You had that already with Obama.

The middle class is indeed stronger. But not as strong as the rich. And the poorer are getting weaker. I don't much care about the rich and the middle class, even though I consider myself belonging to the middle class. (Statistically we are f-ing poor, but I live in my own home and have food on the table, and health care, so I'm good, very good.) The middle class and above always gets along.

This to me isn't any reason to think a President is doing a good job. After all, their lives weren't that much worse during Obama either. Seriously, they weren't. The middle class household incomes were growing during Obama also, even when it wasn't as much. (And, seriously, 1-2% compared to 3-5% - the difference isn't THAT big.)

Immigration issues? People being harassed at the customs, customs officers ignoring green cards and embassies around the world, countries being singled out without any consideration of the people... like the Iraqi interpreters who worked for USA in Iraq, who are now being denied entrance because they come from "wrong country"... talk about gratitude and rewarding loyal people, and merits... Who do you think is going to risk their necks for USA, when USA treats you like this?

"The boogeyman hasn’t nullified my same-sex marriage"
Not yet.

All the talk about Black Lives Matter. *sigh*

"To start with, my parents did not pay for my first car, college, or give me any money to get started in life."

That is true about most Americans. That's not what "white privilege" means, either.
The thing is, that whether you acknowledge it or not, it was easier for you to get a job, you were paid more, you got better education, had easier to get to the college, and if you ever needed a loan, it was easier for you being a white man, than any other American.
It might even have been easier for you to buy your first car, and possibly you paid less for it, just because you are white.
You have not needed to be afraid of getting attacked because of your skin color. You have gone through something similar being gay, but most people still assume you are straight and don't react on you negatively by sight. You can control the hostility somewhat by your actions. A black man can not.
When you were a kid, you didn't even know about racism.

Even joining the army isn't as simple for a black man than it was for you, and success in military isn't just a question of hard work, when you are not a white man. You wouldn't know, because you never needed to know.

Acknowledging this isn't "blaming the world". People aren't expecting you to give what's yours to someone else, simply because you are a white man. I know it might seem like that to you, you being a white man, and obviously listening to other scared white men, but that is not what we are talking about. I know, I'm a white woman, so I get the whole white privilege as well, and I don't have the slightest idea of what it is like being black in America - I'm not even American - I do read, I do listen, and I use my own experiences of disadvantage to try to understand what it is I hear.
I don't blame men for patriarchy, but denying the existence of patriarchy, because you don't want to think about all the privileges you have simply because you were born with a dick, is being a dick.
Seriously, people aren't expecting you to apologize, compensate, pay or give anything, people are expecting you to UNDERSTAND that we have so many advantages we don't even notice because we were born with them! When I was about 10, I read about an intelligence test for children, where one of the questions was "what color are bananas?" and only "yellow" was accepted, never mind that some kids had never seen a banana of any other color than brown.

"I made something of myself instead of complaining and blaming others" is a really crappy thing to say. Firstly, congratulations for having made something of yourself, which is an achievement. 40% of people stay where they were born, 55% take one small step upwards, only 5% go from one end to the other.
And, you are complaining and blaming others. You are blaming the black people for trying to take something that's yours by doing nothing for it. You are blaming the Democrats for enabling moochers. You are blaming the poor for being poor. You are ignoring your circumstances, all the people who have helped you to get where you are, the people who gave you the job, the people who saw you, the people who rewarded your efforts, assuming that all that is just self-evident, natural, would happen to everyone who just tried to lift themselves from their situation. You are ignoring the fact that half of these people wouldn't have done for a black person what they did for you.

"When the Black Lives Matter movement first gained national attention, I questioned their name. Of course, Black lives matter! Why wouldn’t they? Are they implying other lives don’t matter, or that their lives matter more, or that they don’t think their lives currently matter?"

There never was any question. It was clear from the beginning. I don't even understand how someone got it to "other lives don't matter" or "their lives matter more". "Only" or "more" isn't even in there.

"The Black Lives Matter movement decided to focus solely on Black men killed by police"

No, it didn't. But there's plenty of black men killed by police in situations where it wasn't justifiable by any means. A man being shot 8 times in the back cannot be called "killed in self-defense". Crushing a person to death, stopping them from breathing, cannot be justified. Shooting a pregnant woman who didn't resist any arrest, or didn't commit any criminal acts isn't justified, killing a woman who was peacefully sleeping in her own bed before awakened by someone breaking in the door and starting to shoot around is not justified.

It doesn't matter if the victims were "career criminals". The cases that have been lifted up had not been. The conservative media lifts up the ugliest cases, of course, because that confirms their narrative of that the police is innocent, there is no killing of black people, the people who died deserved to die, and BLM is just causing ruckus for some sinister reasons. Probably something to do with communism, and war on white people. *rolling eyes*

"later expanding to include the anecdotal example of a Black man killed by white men (who were appropriately charged with murder)"

"Anecdotal example"? Ahmaud Arbery was killed because he was black, by white men. What's anecdotal about that? And it doesn't matter at all that his racist murderers were "appropriately charged with murder". He was killed in February, and his murderers weren't even arrested before a video - A VIDEO!!! - about the murder went viral. And NO-ONE HAS BEEN CONVICTED YET.

"The problem is the statistics don’t support this narrative."

In my mind it doesn't matter if killing black men by white police is a major cause of death among black men or not, what matters is that one inappropriate death of a black person by a white person could be just an "accident", dozens of inappropriate deaths of black people by white people is suspect, it is a problem, and it has to stop.
And we aren't talking about only a couple of instances.
We don't have white people being mauled down by the cops in the same extent. Right now about 60% of USonians are white, and 13% are black. About civilians being shot by the police, 40% are white, and 20% are black. Assuming that all these people were shot in "self-defense", one says black people are more aggressive and dangerous than white people, while ignoring the evidence of all those black people who were shot without being aggressive and dangerous. You do not shoot a person in the back for self-defense. You do not. So don't try to justify it by saying he was a rapist.

"I am especially confused because the vast majority seem to have been actively belligerent, resisting arrest, and/or outright attacking the officers at the time of their death."

Though, were they? George Floyd wasn't. Tony Robinson wasn't. Anthony Hill wasn't. Eric Harris wasn't. Walter Scott wasn't. Freddie Gray wasn't. Trayvor Martin wasn't. Neither was Javier Ambler, Manuel Ellis, Elijah McClain, Rayshard Brooks, Daniel Prude, Breonna Taylor, Atatiana Jefferson, Stephon Clark, and so on and so forth and on and on and on and on.
Atatiana was shot because she left her front door open. Assumably. Killed in front of her 8 years old nephew. Sniped through a window in her own living room.
And you are saying this doesn't matter, and has nothing to do with race. Sure.

"There are so many other things killing African Americans", so we don't need to care about the racially motivated killings? WTF?

And that's why you'd rather vote for f-ing Trump than Biden?

"Why are the only Black lives that matter to Black Lives Matter the hundreds killed by police each year?"
Because diabetes, heart and cardiovascular diseases, and cancer don't care about your skin color, those things kill everyone.

"I don’t believe in ‘systemic racism’ as a concept."
Well... I do.

"But I do believe we urgently need to end the war on drugs."
Yes, blaming the Mexican economical refugees and punishing and harassing them is certainly going to do that.
Also, more white people die of opioid overdose, than black people. This thing with drugs seems to be a white problem...

"And we really need criminal justice reform."
Yes. Both candidates say they will do things, Trump has done things, Obama did things.

"But the Democrats are all about ‘systemic racism’ and the ‘ghost in the machine’ which is keeping Black people down. They’ve run Black communities into the ground over time with the mass incarceration of Black men under the guise of the war on drugs, glorified the skyrocketing Black single-motherhood rate, pushed abortions as a contraceptive, and replaced personal responsibility with welfare programs."
So democrats have been pushing mass incarceration of black men under the guise of the war on drugs... it wasn't democrats who invented the war on drugs. It was Nixon.
“We knew we couldn’t make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders, raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course, we did.”
- John Ehrlichman
I don't know who has been glorifying the "black single-motherhood rate" or how, but it doesn't sound like anything I've ever heard anything about. On the other hand, I don't think we white people have any right to even address that. What we do have the right to do, and what we ought to do, is to see what causes single-motherhood households, and how we can help them to manage their lives. In my mind the rights of workers is a pretty important thing, to see that there are works for uneducated people, works that pay a decent salary so that single moms don't need to work several jobs to be able to support their families, more strict economical responsibility for the fathers, end of the rape culture, and so on and so forth. All of which are Lefty politics, not Righty.

(About the "glorifying black single motherhood". Maybe it's something like this he is talking about. )

And, finally, about "replacing personal responsibility with welfare programs"- *sigh*

Welfare programs are there to take care of those who CAN'T take care of themselves. There will always be people who will abuse the system, but those are a minority, and their crimes shouldn't be used as an excuse to punish the innocent. I am talking about children, elderly, disabled, people who have been damaged by things that have happened to them in their lives, like PTSD, veterans, people with health problems, especially mental health problems. You don't think these people matter, and that they should "just pick themselves up by the collar and stop mooching", I think they matter very much, and that their well-being is the true measurement of the greatness of a nation. The chain is only as strong as the weakest link, and these people are the weakest link.

I wouldn't vote for a Republican presidential candidate ever, because not even the best of them consider these people worth anything.

I would have thought that Covid-19 crisis have made it painfully clear how low the threshold between "I can help myself" and "I can't help myself" is. How little it takes from "personal responsibility" to "in deep shit without any fault of mine".

And add the White privilege to the soup. USA is 60% white, and they own about 90% of USA. Most employers are white, and they prefer to employ white people. White people also get paid more than black people. It's not a question of willingness to work, ability, talent, skills, intelligence, merits, character, nature, or anything, except race. White people also prefer politics that benefit white people. Naturally. Everyone has racial preference. It's not racism. It becomes racism, when one starts demanding one's racial preference become the social norm, and claims privileges the other races don't have as rights.

"There are no easy solutions to the problems facing the Black community today, but allowing Democrats to continue destroying their community while blaming President Trump for problems that existed long before he was president, and issues that President Obama did very little to address, is insanity."

So you lie about what Democrats do and have done, to benefit a President who steals credit from the person you say did nothing. *sigh*

What Trump has done is NOT destroyed what Obama started. That's all. Considering how much he has trashed, I suppose that's positive, but is it enough to give him credit for it? No. It's not.

The unemployment rate went down from 13% to 7.5% during Obama's presidency, and from 7.5% to 5.5% during Trump's (and now it's over 15% - the black people have been punished inproportionately by Corona virus, both in employment and deaths)

African-American povery rate went from 28% to 22% during Obama's presidency, and continued going down from 22% to 19% during Trump's presidency.

African-American arrests dropped from almost 3 million to 2.2 million during Obama's time, and from that to 2.1 million during Trump's time.

There has not been any change in direction, or rate of change.

"The insanity and hypocrisy have reached the point where Vice Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris publicly told an alleged rapist she is proud of him."

You were considering voting for an alleged rapist. You might yourself be an alleged rapist. A lot of men are alleged rapist today. Does it mean they are rapists? Does it mean they have done nothing anyone could be proud of?

Kamala Harris telling Jacob Blake she was proud of him has nothing to do with the rape. She was proud of him because he had been shot 4 times in the back and was paralyzed from the waist down, he had damage to his stomach, kidney, and liver, he had to have some of his intestines removed. Do you think this is a reasonable punishment for someone ACCUSED of having sexually assaulted another person? Seriously?

In spite of this he was handcuffed to his hospital bed. What the heck were they expecting a paralyzed man to do? I know he has been accused by the police union of things the eye witnesses didn't see happening. Also, he was shot in the back. He was bend down in a car while it happened. Not the police car. So how much "violently resisting arrest with a knife" do you think was going on? How much in danger was the police officer who shot him? I don't see any reasonable, rational reason to shoot.
ALSO, THERE WERE CHILDREN AROUND. The child was in the car while his father was shot by a police in front of his eyes, with no regard of whether the bullets could have ricocheted and harmed someone! There were plenty of people standing around. No care about harming them. After all, they were all black.

Anyway, a white man saying he votes for Trump because he believes Trump is better for black people... er...

"The insanity goes further because the majority of the shootings Black Lives Matter are protesting occur in Democrat-run cities, in Democrat-run states, with Black governors, mayors and police chiefs – and the Democrats have held control of these places for more than 40 years. Explain to me how President Trump or the Republican party is responsible for these problems?"

The BLM isn't protesting the running of the cities, states, governors, mayors, or even police chiefs. They aren't protesting any parties, nor the President. They are protesting the killing of black people. The killers are mostly Republicans, who voted for Trump, and most of them still vote for Trump, because if you are a white policeman, you probably won't lose your voting rights by killing a black person. Republican party grooms racists who don't think black lives matter. Trump is a racist who doesn't think black lives matter. (Now, he doesn't think white lives matter either, the only life that matters to him is his own, and his sycophants. He'd disown his own children if they didn't fawn over him.)

How is the Republican party responsible for these problems? Just look at yourself. How did you develop this thinking? Are you even aware that every word you utter is Republican propaganda and rhetoric? You have been brainwashed, and you don't even know it. That's how.

BTW, "Freedom of speech doesn’t grant anyone the right to block roads, burn businesses, tear down monuments, and attack people who support a different political candidate."
Right to block roads - no
burn businesses - no
tear down monuments - yes
attack people - no
But majority of BLM demonstrations have been peaceful. You are listening to the sources who focus on the few instances and use that as the picture of everything. The percentage of violence during the demonstrations is smaller than the percentage of men who have raped a woman, but I'm not going to assume all men are rapists for that.

Also, Trump supporters attack people who support different candidates. They started doing that already before Trump was the President. They don't even contain the violence and threats to demonstrations.

"I was in South Korea when the pandemic started, and I was impressed with the swift action the South Korean government took to get things under control."

They tested everyone as quickly as possible, isolated the infected people, and increased healthcare capacity to take care of the patients. They used the structure put in place due to the MERS catastrophe.
Obama government put in place a Pandemic Playbook, with several suggestions on how to deal with a Pandemic, and had Hillary Clinton been the President, she would have put that in place already when the first cases started to emerge. IN CHINA.

"We started with President Trump halting traffic from China, to which Democrats called him racist and said he was overreacting."

No. Democrats didn't call him racist because he put on traffic ban, he was called racist because he decided to call Covid "The Chinese Virus", blame China for it, which made his loyal mob to attack every Asian looking person in USA, and ignore their own responsibility to protect themselves.
The industry and market was upset, because that put effectively stop to the business between USA and China, and a lot of USonian companies depended on Chinese cheap labor and products, especially metal parts.
The traffic ban wasn't very effective either, because it still allowed all USonians to move as they wished.
Besides, travel ban is one of the strategies Obama's Pandemic Playbook suggests.

Saying that "Democrats called him racist and said he was overreacting" is repeating Trump's words. What's your source? Fox? Of course you would choose Trump over Biden, because your information is limited to Trump approved propaganda.

"The citizens of the United States responded like spoiled children. It still amazes me that people refuse to take simple precautions like wear a mask and wash their hands."

Yes, and guess what? Most of those people are Republicans, INCLUDING THE PRESIDENT YOU WANT TO VOTE FOR. Joe Biden wears mask and washes his hands. Most everyone in the White House has the virus. Not so in Biden's camp.
This would be a reason to vote for Biden, not Trump.

"Not to mention mass protests where thousands of people are standing immediately next to each other in large groups with few people wearing masks."

BLM protests haven't caused any rise on Covid statistics.
Republican conventions and rallies have.

"I don’t know what the Trump Administration could have done differently."

You don't? Maybe do what South Korea did? Maybe read and implement the Obama Playbook?
Which they first claimed they didn't have, and then said was not good. (I suppose it was bad, because it was filled with a lot of tough questions and difficult words.)

And, no, the Constitution is fine about a mask mandate. No problems there. It's just idiots who prevent mask mandate.

Former Vice President Biden hasn't said anything about the constitution being a hindrance to mask mandate. He's a lawyer, he knows.

Whether Obamacare is a disaster or not is a question of taste. The majority of USonians think it isn't.

There is no "Trumpcare". The only thing Trump cares about when it comes to public health and USonian healthcare is that nothing Obama did should be allowed to stay.

"To have a conservative majority on the court for the rest of my life could affect something that I care about deeply in the future. I don’t even know what that is yet."

Exactly. You wouldn't need to worry about something you care about deeply being harmed in the future, if Obama's nomination had been approved, and if the Republicans had respected Ruth Bader Ginsburg's last wish. To me this is a clear reason to vote for Biden, and not vote for Trump. Frankly, refusing to approve the President's nomination for TEN MONTHS and then refusing to RESPECT a woman's dying wish for FOUR MONTHS just because they KNEW they would lose the election... that is dastardly!

"While I personally believe we should limit abortions to cases of rape, incest, or medical necessity"

Being pregnant changes one's life and body. No-one should be forced to go through this against their will. This means that it's only the woman pregnant who has the right to decide if she has her pregnancy aborted or not.
I would give that right to the father of the child as well, as the only possibility for a man to become a father is through a pregnant woman. But only if the sex was consensual. (And only if the parent who doesn't want to become a parent doesn't need to and is freed from all legal, economical and social obligations). Rapists don't have any rights in my mind.
Every other person doesn't have any right to say anything about abortion. Especially not the President.

Besides, the existing law pretty much already limits abortions to cases of rape, incest, and medical necessity, after first trimester. 9 of 10 abortions happen during the first trimester, and after that there has to be a serious reason for the abortion.

Frankly, abortion shouldn't even be on the table when it comes to deciding whom to vote.

"I don’t believe that Planned Parenthood should get federal funding. I don’t think this is a good use of taxpayer dollars and would much rather see an increase in education and personal responsibility, alongside reduced-cost or free contraceptives for lower-income households."

It would be better if you actually knew what Planned Parenthood does. They perform STD tests and treatment, breast cancer screening, birth control treatment and education, along with abortions, and other things. Abortions are only 4% of the services.

"Education and personal responsibility, alongside reduced-cost or free contraceptives" is what they do!

"Hillary Clinton’s pay-for-play and complete disregard for securing classified material were key issues to me."

"Hillary Clinton’s pay-for-play" and "complete disregard for securing classified material" were investigated, and they found nothing to worry about.

So your "key issues" were just malicious, baseless gossip. You got alarmed by it, but didn't follow it through to find out if you had reason to be alarmed. To me that would be even more reason to vote not Trump.

Also, what about Donald Trump's pay-for-play and complete disregard for securing classified material? Hillary Clinton was just the Secretary of the State, Trump is the President!

"It seems the pay-for-play scheme must simply be part of the Democrats’ playbook now, as Joe Biden clearly has some explaining to do with regards to his son’s dealings in the Ukraine, not to mention his financial ties to Russia and China. The Democrats are very quick to scream ‘Russian collusion’ when it has to do with President Trump, but they turn a completely blind eye to Joe Biden. Those in glass houses…"

Firstly, I think some amount of nepotism is fine. I would expect a son of the Vice President to have SOME benefits from his father's job. The "pay-for-play" scheme on the other hand - has it been proven?

No. It hasn't.
All the information we have about this issue comes from Trump's people, and a "former friend" who is angry with Hunter Biden. Really reliable information.
Yes, it has been investigated.

Now, what about Trump's sons, Trump's nepotism, Trump's and his sons' pay-for-play, and fishy business with foreign nations?

Also, when the PRESIDENT colludes with foreign nations, that IS screamworthy, while ex vice President's son... not so much.  That the President speaks state secrets with foreigners is in my mind a much bigger problem than that the ex vice president's son sits in a board of a foreign company and perhaps gets paid to perhaps introduce people to his dad. Or maybe he doesn't. No-one knows.

You don't believe in the media, but you believe every piece of gossip fed to you by media, just be it the RIGHT media.

"I believe he is legitimately experiencing health issues"

And I believe Donald Trump can't read. I mean, no-one has ever seen him read anything.

A Closer Look at Joe Biden's Health  - nothing to worry about.
Donald Trump's medical exam - nothing to worry about
both are healthy old men.

No, don't believe any medical diagnoses done by the people online. Even if they claim to be doctors. Frankly, especially if they claim to be doctors.

"for me it’s hard to tell what a Biden Administration would look like. The only messaging the campaign is releasing is either criticisms of President Trump’s COVID response, support for BLM, or blaming Republicans for the sins of the Democratic Party."

The only messaging Trump's presidency has been releasing since ever is either criticism of Obama, Clinton, Biden, some other Democrat, all the Democrats, blaming Democrats, Obama, Clinton, and Biden for everything, especially the problems of Trump administration, calling people names, whining, complaining, telling how everyone else is stupid and how Trump is amazing, stealing other's work and achievements, or destroying it. Talking, talking, talking, tweeting, talking, yap yap yap.

We have 8 years of Biden as the Vice President, and 4 years of Trump as the President. That's enough "messaging" for me.

"My sincere hope for 2024 is that the Democrats stop focusing on vilifying conservatives"

But the conservatives don't need to stop vilifying liberals?
What has Trump said about the Democrats?
What has Biden said about the Republicans?
You are voting for the guy who keeps vilifying liberals because you think Democrats are vilifying conservatives?
