Junior is triggered, part XIII

"We are Trumps, we don’t play the victim card"

Though had anyone else written this book, it would be called playing the victim card. Especially this chapter.

"The press didn't give him any fair coverage, and if they did, it was because they wanted him to win because Hillary would beat him (she did - as Donald Trump said “He lost the popular vote by a lot and won the election. We should have a revolution in this country!”), the reporting was one-sided, biased, they were lying, they are self-important, they don't care about Americans (because only Trump supporters are Americans), they tried to stop my father, and every video of him saying stupid things is edited, and it's so unfair! But I'm not complaining! I KNEW there was no sense of fair play and dignity!"

Oh, did it hurt your fragile sensitivities? It's interesting how adamant you are to say "it's just words", when it's your words, but when someone else's words hurt you, it's suddenly a proof of bias, hypocrisy, and effort to silence people.

"BACK DURING the previous administration, when former president Obama took a trip to England for a state visit, he was met with a relatively small but vocal protest that flew a diapered baby Obama balloon over the streets of London… Yeah, right. Like that would have happened in a million years. If it had, the liberal Twittersphere would have blown up. Sparks would have flown from keyboards in newsrooms around the country as writers pounded out outraged headlines. Liberal pundits’ heads would have exploded on television screens."

Frankly, I doubt that.

"I didn’t expect the press in England to be any fairer than the media here—my father’s poll numbers in England aren’t so hot. But guess what? Neither were George Washington’s. You know why? Because he fought for America."

Hitler's poll numbers in England weren't so hot either.

"The only way that you can make any impact with Donald Trump is to mock him, because you can't engage him in any kind of argument — it never gets anywhere."
- Max Wakefield

"What I do care about, however, is the hypocrisy that is pervasive in the mainstream media. When a balloon depicting London’s liberal mayor, Sadiq Khan, in a bikini flew over London, the United Kingdom’s Metro newspaper ran a headline warning that “Flying the Sadiq Khan balloon is not an exercise of free speech—it is a party for bigots.”

1) it was an opinion piece in the Metro. Not "running a headline". Plenty of opinion pieces about baby trump balloon. People have even attacked them.
2) Trump hates his balloon, Sadiq Khan laughs at his.
3) Trump balloon was a comment on his "spoiled toddler" like attitude. Sadiq Khan's was a comment on his effort to ban objectifying ads in the London public transportation.

"You want to know a real joke? How about Barack Obama’s nomination for a Nobel Peace Prize just eleven days after he took office. Eleven days! What in God’s name could he have done in eleven days to warrant one of the most prestigious awards in the world?"

It's not like he didn't exist before he became a president. I would say he got it because of the Presidential campaign, for bringing back hope. It still works.

Here's why he got it: The Nobel Peace Prize for 2009. They decided to give it to him, because they think his politics are perfect to promote the kind of world the Norwegian Nobel Committee sees as desirable, and they are rather disappointed - not because of that president Obama didn't do much anything for the world peace (that's not why he got the Peace Prize for either, and if you look at the previous prizes, it's not "world peace" they are after.), but because of the world's reaction to that Obama received the prize.
Not even Obama got why he got it.
It wasn't a payment for future service.

"He’d been toying with the notion of running for president for a while. The first time the idea came up, at least in a public sense, was when Oprah asked him in an interview back in 1988 if he was going to run. Google that interview, and you’ll be surprised. In all this time, over thirty years, my father’s views on trade, America’s standing in the world, and other countries paying their fair share haven’t changed one bit. You could take that spot on Oprah and play it at a MAGA rally, and the crowd would go wild."

Probably. MAGA people tend to get hysterical about things.

I would like to point out one thing there... "If you ever go to Japan right now and try to sell something, forget about it, Oprah, just forget about it. It’s almost impossible. They don't have laws against it, they just make it impossible."

Why not make it impossible for American businesses to take the jobs overseas, why not tax them for overseas production, why not make it "impossible" for foreigners to sell anything in the USA - the same way Japan did. It's not the tariffs, or making import impossible, if the Americans won't buy foreign things, they can't get anything sold. And you don't need to be nasty about it.

A Democrat initiative

Do you know the origin of every item and food in your home? Is most of it American? American made, by Americans, of American materials? Or are the avocados imported from Mexico, because it's cheaper, and metal and wood from China, and clothes are made in India or somewhere, of Indian cotton.

I have to wonder how much Melania really loves USA, when she doesn't wear US made clothes. It's some European fashion house creation after another. And the fact that a lot of Democrat fashion designers refused to dress her - who cares? There's plenty of good American designers who would. Ralph Lauren (who designed the iconic powder blue dress), Oscar de la Renta, Michael Kors (also a Democrat, btw), Vera Wang... great designers. It's not about politics, it's that the First Lady should wear American. She could have chosen her own "Oleg Cassini". If she doesn't bother, why would anyone?

And, in deed, a lot of MAGA stuff is made in China, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Honduras... Now THAT is hypocritical, and not only that, it's stupid. YOU are sending American jobs and money to away.

"that day marks the beginning of something other than the campaign. In a sense, it was the beginning of the end of any credibility the liberal media still possessed."

The media still possesses the credibility among the people who has never just bought what they are being sold, the people who know to question everything, who can double check and verify information, and who don't trust only limited sources.
The people who have lost trust in the media, have lost trust in every media, as evidenced by the backlash Fox News received when they dared to publish the hateful truth of that Joe Biden won the election 2020. Those people will only believe what they want to believe.

"Because remember: These days, all that really matters is feelings. Facts, evidence, and logic have gone out the window."
- Donald Trump jr.

"Maybe the worst of it was how they treated my sister"

OK, let's talk about Ivanka.

"Before my father ran for president, Ivanka was the darling of those glossy magazines such as Vogue , Harper’s Bazaar , and Vanity Fair . Even the New York Times ran complimentary pieces about her."

Hmm... was she?
Spin magazine's interview from 1998 with the 16 years old Ivanka

"We quite rightly resent those who get breaks based on connections rather than merit"

She's a beautiful socialite and a business executive, of course magazines ran complimentary pieces about her. They run complimentary pieces about everyone. (Though I couldn't find a Vogue cover with her on it. I used the one with her mom in stead.)

But then she decided to become a politician. And now you are whining when the press treats her like politicians are being treated.

"And yet, one reporter for Cosmopolitan was so rude, Ivanka got up and left in the middle of the interview."

It couldn't be this, now, could it? Because there was nothing rude about that. Questions like that are asked of politicians all the time, so if Ivanka thinks being treated as a politician is "rudeness" and "bad treatment", why is she in the politics?

Ivanka Trump cuts off Cosmo interview after tough questioning

Ivanka Trump obsessed with status, says former friend in tell-all essay

Enough about Hunter Biden. What about Ivanka Trump?

"Though Ivanka might have been the first target, the press wasted no time going after all of us. Right after the convention, GQ ran an article titled “Donald Trump’s Family Is Just as Bad as Donald Trump.” Why take shots at us one at a time when you can lump us all together? But it also showed us how much the left feared us as a collective fighting force for our father."

Donald Trump’s Family Is Just as Bad as Donald Trump.

"By now, you know that aspiring First Lady Melania Trump cribbed part of her big speech last night from current FLOTUS Michelle Obama, despite the fact that she told Matt Lauer in a pre-taped interview that she wrote the thing herself. And the funniest part of all this is that, as with virtually every Trump-related fuck-up, it won’t ultimately matter at all. In fact, I bet they plagiarized Obama’s speech DELIBERATELY, just so Melania could be caught, and then criticized, and then the Trump camp could piss and moan about the press being so mean to her. There is no gaffe that Trump cannot turn into a permanent and contagious media grudge."

LOL I think they are on to you, junior...

Take a look on how Chelsea Clinton has been treated by Right Wing media, and Trump supporters.

Take a look on how Malia Obama is being treated. She's barely adult now, but the right wing said things like: “Looks like a typical street whore.” and “Wonder when she will have her first abortion.”already when she was eleven.
Eleven.
Kai is 13 now, but think what if someone said something like that about her.

Then think about Hunter Biden. He hasn't said anything about you, even though there's plenty to talk about. Joe Biden hasn't said anything about you.
So why are you talking about Hunter? Why is your dad? If you should be "shielded" from the media, even when you participate in it, why aren't you "shielding" Hunter Biden? You know the things you talk about are lies.

"As the child of one of our country's wealthiest men, I was placed squarely in the top 1 percent of our society from birth. As much as the press seemed to want me to be ashamed of that or apologize for it, I'm not and I won’t. As the son of a rich white man, I know I’m not allowed to have an opinion, let alone voice it these days."

Has anyone actually ever told you to be ashamed of being born rich? I don't think so. Just as well as I don't believe you have ever been expected to apologize for it.
Or has anyone told you you are not allowed to have an opinion or voice it? Or any other rich kid?
This is all just a strawman.
It's like all those idiots online saying stupid things like "I will never be ashamed of being American and proud of it!" Good. Don't. No-one is asking you to, either.

"I knew that my father would never give me a dime that I hadn’t worked for and earned myself."

ROTFLMAO! Sure.

"The liberal press will tell you that I got into Wharton because my father’s donations to the school, but they won’t tell you about how hard I worked for the grades to get in on my own."

What about all those kids who worked hard for the grades, but were never even considered, because their dads hadn't been in Wharton, and couldn't donate any money?

"The press portrayed me as a rich brat from one of the wealthiest zip codes in the country, but they won’t tell you how I spent every summer in communist Czechoslovakia when I was a kid or the manual labor I did growing up for my father (I remember my father saying, “If you’re going to build a building, you better know how to dig a foundation”) or that I spend weeks sleeping on the couches of my hunting buddies, or about the twelve-hour days I worked at Trump Org."

Actually, vacationing in Europe is something only rich people do, and it doesn't matter at all the country was the Communist Czechoslovakia. For children it's all the same, your grandparents saw you fed and safe, and send you safely back to USA when the vacation was over.

The manual labor you did, you did because you chose to do it, not because your family would have gone hungry if you didn't work. Considering that there still are thousands of young, promising men and women, who can't afford to get an education, but have to start working as soon as they can get a job, some do so, so that their younger siblings could get a college education and a chance to get a better life... do you seriously think you work harder than the union guys your dad hires, or that you are smarter? That you owe nothing to the fact that your dad could give you a well-paying job when you were young, pay for your boarding school and college, and then give you a job when you decided you wanted to work for him?

Sleeping on the couches of your hunting buddies - doesn't change anything. In the end of the day, week, month, even a year, you go back to your daddy's house.

About the twelve hour days you worked at Trump Org. I have often done 12 hour work days, both white and blue collar. White collar - no problems. Blue - wouldn't want to do that often.
Frankly, what could you possibly be doing daily that you find so demanding you are stating it as an example of why you are NOT a spoiled rich brat?

And are you suggesting all the other rich kids are lazy bums? Then why not tax them more and lower the taxes for everyone who earns and has less property than a million? Why punish the hardworking Americans?
You can take it, you can make that money in a minute, I'm sure.
And what would you not sacrifice for your beloved working class?
By paying just 2 % property tax, you would relieve thousands of working class families from all tax burden! Use that as your running program 2024. Higher taxes for the 10%, lower taxes for 90%. If the rich get angry with you, who cares, you'd have the votes of the 90%.

"And, it didn’t take long for them to start calling me a white supremacist."

You are making that one too easy... I mean, it's hard to not call you on it, when you do things like this.
Donald Trump Jr. has a white supremacist problem

Is James Comey fired and since disgraced

Well... Trump fired James Comey, and I wouldn't say he's "disgraced".

But this issue bores me, so I'm not going to bother about it any more. I suppose we'll find out more about it next year.

"They haven’t, however, been fair to my father since his decision to run for president, or any conservative other than the ones who try so desperately to be loved by the media so they turn on my father. There’s Mitt Romney, for instance. How quickly that weakling forgot what the press did to him during his failed run for president. But unlike Trump, he was too weak to fight back, and that’s why he lost. The media got the scalp they were looking for."

I'm more interested in how quickly Ted Cruz forgot what your dad did to him during his failed run for president.
Mitt Romney lost because he was running against Obama. I have to say that much for your dad, he never even tried. Some self-preservation he has. But not enough to not try a second term. Had he left to seek new adventures because being a president is a dirty job, and he has better things to do, he would have been unconquered. Now he will be remembered as the guy who lost to Joe Biden.

"Maybe no other statement by my father is a more significant trigger to the MSM than when he says the press is the enemy of the people. It actually sounds terrible. But if you look at their actions over the past three years, how could a reasonable person come to a different conclusion?"

A reasonable person would come to a different conclusion.

The quote by Thomas Jefferson you snort at is:
“Our liberty cannot be guarded but by the freedom of the press, nor that be limited without danger of losing it.”

"Fake news is about as patriotic as a flag burning."

Which can be discussed. Unless you are a fascist and think things cannot be discussed, but must be accepted as black or white according to the Higher Authority.

"My father brought his adult children and their spouses to meet the queen, which caused a furor in the liberal press. How dare he bring his family!"

Yes... how dares the liberal press be upset about Trump making the tax payers pay for the travel expenses of his... how many you are now? Five? Six? What ever. You and your spouses and nieces and nephews and auntie Mabel, and of course Bill needs to get to come, too, he has always wanted to see the Buckingham Palace!

"The next day, The Daily Beast , or the “the Daily Least” as I like to call them, and the British press, which always looks for the negative angle, posted stories that we’d run out on our tab and stuck poor Caroline Kennedy with the bill. We hadn’t. If the reporter who wrote the story had bothered to check, they would have known that we had prearranged to have the bill sent to us."

Well... "poor" Caroline Kennedy said "I don’t think we’ve to worry about getting paid for that. We were told it’d be all sorted later so there’s no problem." Sounds like she didn't know you "had prearranged to have the bill sent to you".

But, it wasn't big news. No-one much cared. I don't think many in USA even knew about it.

"Out of all the lies the press has written about me, you would think that running out on a bar tab wouldn’t even make the list."

Yeah... but it seems to me you have been taking everything with in this book, so why not put this in, too.

"Soon, social media will be the main deliverer of news, and that’s only going to make it worse for people looking for the truth."

You didn't think about that when you decided to start bashing the press and journalists, did you?
If you say people can't trust the newspapers and news channels, then everybody becomes a journalist, and everyone's story is as valid.

And still you aren't talking about questioning everything, verifying and fact-checking.

Junior is Triggered, part XII

"Well, here, right now, at long last, I would like to put all those rumors to rest. I will not be seeking political office. In fact, I won’t be continuing in politics at all. I have my sights on something much bigger.

Effective immediately, I am going to concentrate all my efforts on becoming the greatest, most powerful player in the nine-to-twelve-year-old division of my local girls’ softball league."

Well... don't set your hopes high, those 9-12 years old girls are dangerous. Maybe try something a little bit less... "challenging"? Like preverbal toddlers? Then you wouldn't be interrupted by mean people saying hurtful things.

Besides, considering that you have been concentrating all your efforts on this for over a year now, it looks like you won't make it. Like your dad, someone should have told him not to run for second term. I suppose you are going to blame Covid.

On serious note, a whole chapter on transpeople! I never knew they were THAT scary!

It is pitiful, junior.
What have transpeople ever done to you for you to hate them? They don't have anything to do with Democrats, they don't have anything to do with you, they aren't threatening anything or anyone, they are a totally harmless minority and so small a minority at that... they aren't even accepted by some GLBTQA+ people! And as if the world wasn't full of derogatory mockery and misinformation about transpeople.
It's like shooting fish in a barrel!
Seriously, had you been Teddy Roosevelt, and they had brought you the tied up bear cub, you would have shut it, and then bragged about it.

This is low even for you.

Trump Really, Really, Really Does Not Like Trans People

"It is no longer anyone’s business what sex you were assigned at birth"

It has never been anyone's business what sex you were assigned at birth. Why would it be? Why are you so interested about what's between the legs of people?

"If I wake up one day feeling like a thirteen-year-old girl named Susan (which would come as a pretty big surprise to my girlfriend, Kimberly), then you are required—by law in some countries—to call me that."

I don't think it would come as such a big surprise to her.
But, firstly, there's quite a lot more to being transgendered than "today I want to be a girl!". Secondly, if you want to be a 13yo girl named Susan, be it. Doesn't bother me.

Then, if you want to play in Little League - probably because that's the only place where you could win... though I doubt even that - it's up to the Little League if they accept you. You could always try to sue them for not letting your inner 13yo girl play, but even if you won, I would say the other parents would run you out of the city.
It didn't go so well for Danny Almonte. And no Democrats were screaming "let the poor boy play!"

Now, the issue of transpeople has nothing to do with adult people being so tired of losing they start cheating. It would be nice if you actually met and discussed the issues with actual transgendered people, the same way you talked things with your bluecollars, but I don't think you would. Discussing with people "like that" probably damages your fragile masculinity, and the relations with Trump voter base. You can't have that, now. Besides, the transpeople are such a minority no-one cares. And your audience loves it when you mock minorities, especially those they feel are threatening them.

It never cease to amaze me how fragile the macho masculinity is. A man wears a ballgown. Your masculinity is fractured. A man kisses another man. Another crack. Gillette has an ad telling guys they don't need to bully, fight, and treat women like trash to be men, and you lose your mind.

"Just ask Kate Scottow, a woman who lives in Hertfordshire, England. In February 2019, she was arrested by local police for “harassing” a transgender woman (which means a man who identifies as a woman). You see, she referred to her as a “he” on Twitter. (I know, I know. This can get confusing.) Police showed up at Scottow’s apartment and arrested her in front of her autistic ten-year-old daughter and her twenty-month-old infant son. In court, the prosecutor accused Scottow of engaging in a “campaign of targeted harassment” against the transgender activist, all because she refused to call the activist by her preferred pronoun."

Oh, poor Kate Scottow.
Again, had she just done that, nothing would have happened. No-one can force anyone to use correct pronouns of them, and it's not illegal. But there were no quotation marks around the harassment in this case. It was a campaign of targeted harassment. This woman created several twitter accounts just to harass transgendered people, not just Stephanie. She didn't only post comments on Stephanie's Twitter, she spoke crap about her elsewhere, too, accusing her of racism (never any evidence or reference to what she was talking about) and said things like: 'He is a very, very sick individual. I have evidence of that.' (The kind of "evidence" Trump has on election fraud 2020. No-one ever sees it because it doesn't exist.)
There were TWO court orders telling her to stop the harassment, but she continued. Just created another Twitter account, as if that made it OK.
It's not a question of freedom of speech. Freedom of speech is when J.K.Rowling goes out saying things on her own twitter account, or when Harry Miller talks crap on his. Kate Scottow went out of her way to actually harass a person, against a court order.
Had she not committed a crime, she would not have been arrested in front of her children. Now she threw away a whole career she had been investing a lot of work, time and money on.
You call it "left's nonsense", I call it "TERF idiocy". I don't think disagreeing with on how other people identify themselves is worth getting arrested in front of my children and throwing away a promising career, but she obviously thought it was.
And now you are blaming her victims for her reaping the just and fair harvest of what she chose to sow - of her own will, well knowing the situation.

It's like all these people whining about social media "silencing them" - when we joined the site (private owned, how ever big they are - which means that they have all the rights to set which ever rules they want to), we all signed an agreement where we said that we would follow the rules, among other things to be civil and not harass other users, not engage in criminal activities (like defamation), and not to post deliberate falsehoods as truth. And when these people do (like Milo whatthefuckhisnameis), and get kicked out for breaching the agreement, they start whining.
Pitiful.
And the fact that most people haven't read the agreement, where the site very clearly explains all the rules you agree to follow, is no excuse. You signed the agreement.
(Crossing that "I have read the code of conduct and I agree" box counts as legal signature.)

"Now, for those of you who haven’t heard about all this transgender news, let me see if I can catch you up."

Oh, please don't. I'm 100% certain of that you can't.

"According to liberals today, many of whom reside in their mom’s basements or their university dorm rooms"

says a middle-aged man who lives in his daddy's attic. (But it's OK, daddy furnished it very nicely.)

How old were you when you decided to be a boy? How did you know you were a boy?
How old were you when you decided other children's gender mattered? How did it matter? Boys played with G.I.Joes and girls with G.I.Janes?

I knew already when I was five that I was a girl, and I learned that it mattered so that all the fun and interesting toys were meant for other kids, I wasn't allowed to play with them, because I was "a girl". Other than that - nah. Nothing important. "Plumbing" looked a bit different, most kids were dressed a little differently according to if they were "girls" or "boys". There was no physiological imperative for this, it was just the way it had always been done. Then came the puberty and the physical differences grew, and people kept telling me I wasn't "allowed" to do this or that, because it was meant for boys and I was not a boy. No rational reasoning for that either. Just the way it had always been done. That is about the stupidest reason to do things.

"you have to refer to that person with whatever names and pronouns they ask you to"

Isn't that just common manners? I call you Susan or Donald or what ever you want, because it's none of my business what name you wish to use of yourself. No skin off my nose.

"Also, you don’t need to undergo any sort of gender reassignment surgery or hormone therapy to change your gender anymore. All you have to do is declare that you are another gender, and people have to accept it."

How is this a problem?

"So if you call a person Betty when s/he is feeling like Billy, what happens?"

Depends on how close friends you are. If they are your colleague, probably nothing. If you are a friend, he'll probably tells you you used the wrong name. It's usually rather clear to see who they are. Betty behaves differently from Billy, and often dresses differently as well. If you aren't their friend or colleague, I don't see why you would be calling them anything.

"Do you get charged with a hate crime?"

No.

"What if that person feels as though you committed a hate crime?"

They'll think you are an asshole, and react accordingly. If you care, you'll apologize. If you don't, you won't.
It's not complicated.

"Because remember: These days, all that really matters is feelings. Facts, evidence, and logic have gone out the window. Once you accept the fact that feelings matter more than facts, it doesn’t matter whether you’re dealing with religion, race, or kids’ basketball games. You’re in trouble."

President Trump lost the election 2020. A month later, his supporters, still refusing to accept the defeat - mostly because president Trump is refusing to accept the defeat, because it doesn't feel good, and fact, evidence and logic doesn't matter - are sending death threats to the election workers and state officials of the biggest states where Joe Biden won, trying to force them to give the victory to Trump. It has gone so far that Trump called his old friend and supporter "enemy of the people".

Deplorable, indeed. Sore loser.

"For example, take CeCe Telfer"

Let's take Cecé Telfer. Thank you for using the correct pronoun.

What you need to understand about the testosterone suppression therapy is that it cuts off the testosterone that the muscles need to be "nearly twice as durable and powerful as those of the average female". She lost quite a lot of her muscle mass because of the hormone therapy. On top of that, every ciswoman has now more testosterone than she does. On top of that, she has been used to use a body with stronger muscles, and has been forced to learn to use a body that isn't as effective. Something all the ciswomen have been using their whole life. Sure, she's very tall, but that's not always a bonus. She also learned to run on men's track, which is different from women's track. So, no, I don't see her having an advantage.
And, in fact, Cecé did not "smoke the competition". She didn't win everything she participated in, which means that there were several cisgirls who were better than Cecé, and there probably are some girls who think that's so unfair as well. Do you remember Tara Lipinski and Michelle Kwan?

I'm a cis female, I was running when I was young, and I don't mind. I believe in science, and when they show me how much the performance goes down on testosterone suppressants, I'm fine with this.

Now... why do you mind?

"If I’ve learned one thing about children—and human beings in general—it’s that they can thrive only when they’re challenged. Just as your muscles won’t grow if you don’t put them under the stress of weight lifting and your mind won’t expand if you don’t fill it with difficult thoughts, books, and arguments, people can’t grow if they’re not made uncomfortable, or at least challenged, sometimes."

In my mind shielding young people from racism, intolerance, and bullying is more important than shielding young people from competing and not winning. The kids who lie on 20th place have worked equally hard as the kids who are on 1-5, but no-one cares one bit about them. In my mind complaining about transgirls having unfair advantage of the male physique, is finding excuses because one doesn't want to accept the fact that one lost. I don't think any one of these girls will participate in Olympics.
Cecé won't. She wants to become a nurse.

Also, "pretending to be a girl" just to be able to win in high school and college competitions? There's more to life than running. Do you think the transhate is so dismissable people would risk it just to win some races? And what about dating and social life? "Pretending to be a girl" has an impact on EVERY ASPECT of your life. It's not worth it.

"Even Martina Navratilova, the legendary tennis player who grew up not too far from my grandparents’ village in Czechoslovakia, weighed in. Here’s a woman who had worked her entire life to become one of the greatest of all time. To her, the idea that we were going to allow men who couldn’t hack it in their own division to start competing against women was “cheating.”"

But as an intelligent woman, she took a closer look at the issue, and changed her mind. How about that...

If Martina Navratilova's thinking on trans athletes can evolve, so can sport

"From track and field to volleyball to weight lifting, trans athletes are smashing women’s hard-earned records."

Ah, I see...

"Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar called for an investigation into USA Powerlifting in January after the athletic association announced that male lifters who identify as transgender women aren’t allowed to compete as women.

Omar called it a “myth” that men who identify as transgender women have a “direct competitive advantage” in a Jan. 31 letter she sent to USA Powerlifting on behalf of Jaycee Cooper, a male powerlifter in Omar’s district who identifies as a transgender woman."

"It’s funny, you never hear about trans men (women) dominating men’s divisions. I’ll wait for that to happen before I start rooting for trans women (men) who compete in the women’s divisions."

"But when it comes to contact sports, there’s more than just our sense of fairness and lost scholarships on the line. This is where it becomes a safety issue. I don’t think anyone was totally comfortable, for instance, when a mediocre mixed martial arts fighter named Fallon Fox decided he was going to transition to a woman. This wasn’t just a man who wanted to run races in lanes next to women. This was a man who was losing bouts to other men, so he decided he wanted to beat up women instead. In one of his last fights, against a woman named Tamikka Brents—who held on for a very long time, considering the circumstances—Fox used his big hands to beat Brents into an early technical knockout. Hours after the match, doctors discovered that Brents’s skull had been fractured. There is no universe in which that should be acceptable, nor is there anyone who can argue that it was a fair fight!"

So... Tamikka Brents lost, and somehow Fallon Fox is a crook? It's MMA for crying out loud. People suffer from fractured bones, skulls and eye sockets included, concussions, you name it. It is totally acceptable in this universe, and both fighters were in it of their free will, and there were judges, so looks totally fair fight to me. It's not the size of the hands, it's how you use them...

People who had also "shattered eye socket":

Jack Hermansson
Broken toe and broken eye socket but not a broken spirit. The goal remains the same! Thank you for your support.”

Karolina Kowalkiewicz
After the fight, I spent all day in the hospital. S*** happens. I still love this sport and UFC. Don’t worry I’ll be OK.”

Miesha Tate.

Lucia Rijker has fought guys, and held hers.

Theybies? Sounds like a great idea. Because people treat "boys" and "girls" differently.

"I'm shocked, SHOCKED, that the gender-neutral craze caught on in Hollywood".

Aren't you easily shocked.

Genderbread person? Yep, that's how it works. Maybe you need to work with it a bit.

"When it starts to get harmful, in my opinion, is right around the time some of the crazy parents begin going to “gender specialists,” who wear white coats and stethoscopes, to discuss whether or not their little theybies should begin the process of transitioning genders in a medical way. In some cases, parents whose children express tendencies of genders other than their own—boys who like to play with dolls, for example, or girls who like little toy army men—are told by these specialists that hormone therapy to suppress puberty, and/or a full-on surgical transition, might be the only way forward."

Yeah... isn't it great that that doesn't happen.
Boys who like to play with dolls are still boys. Girls who like little toy army men are still girls. The idea of that tomboys are being brainwashed into believing they are really boys is a TERF fantasy, and based on the fact that they don't have the slightest idea of what transgenderism is.

The hormone therapy to suppress puberty just delays the puberty, it has been done for 40 years, and some of the people who went through it are mothers and fathers today. Most people went through it because the puberty is starting earlier and earlier, and we have girls now who start menstruating when they are 8. I think that's too early, and I am grateful they have found a safe and harmless way of delaying the puberty so that the girl gets time to grow a bit before the crap starts. If it can be used to let people figure out whether they are boys or girls - or neither - wonderful.

"when the left demanded that confused old men in dresses be allowed into the same restrooms as little girls"

So your dad is not allowed to use the same bathroom as your daughters? I suppose that's never a problem in your home, but you forget that not everyone is a millionaire. Living in their dad's attic.

Nevertheless, we were thinking more about young people and adults, who look indistinguishable from other young people and adults using the bathroom, and who use the bathroom to relieve themselves and perhaps check their outfit. I don't know what guys do in their bathroom, but I assume they look at the other... patrons... as much - or little - as the gals do. Most people use the toilets because they have to pee. Why do you use toilets? Why do you assume it's just perverts, "old geezers in dress", men "dressed as a woman" who want to go to ladies' room to ogle at the women? Have you ever been in ladies' room? You might need to visit a couple, to see that there is nothing to see.

Pronouns... in some languages the pronouns aren't gender based. We have managed quite fine through thousands of years. It's not important.

"If things keep going the way they are, don’t be surprised if in a few years, you see a bill on the House floor—likely with “Ocasio-Cortez” and “Tlaib” written somewhere on it—that forbids all parents to assign their babies gender identities at birth."

Sounds wonderful! Though I think it might be Ilhan Omar, not Rashida Tlaib, who does that.
BTW, there you have two of these Muslim families who are well adjusted and not radical Islamist terrorists. Not that one would know, considering how you talk about them.

But, how has the fact that you didn't get a genderless upbringing effect you? What do you think are the benefits and the downsides? How do you think your life would be different had you been treated as "neutral" when you were a child? How do you think Ivanka's life would be different had she been treated as "neutral"?
What about your children? How are you raising the girls and boys differently? How much differently are you treating them because of their gender? Or do you treat them as the individuals they are, according to how they express themselves, what they want to do, what they want to wear, etc.? How much differently would you treat Kai if she was a boy?

"And don’t be surprised when it gets passed. Like every other crazy idea that the left has had — from the Green New Deal and free college to prison voting and unlimited abortions — this one will come from the far left and then creep slowly but surely toward the center."

None of those ideas is crazy. You might even be thankful for "prison voting" one day.

"I also have a problem when people start saying, as some researchers have been saying over the past few months, that trans people are being discriminated against because straight people don’t want to date them. I’m a live-and-let-live type of guy. I’m fine with people transitioning, using different pronouns, and referring to themselves with whatever names they see fit. But men shouldn’t be branded transphobic, homophobic, or bigoted just because they’re not lining up to date women with beards and penises."

They aren't. They are branded transphobic because they claim women who don't have beards and penises have them. Because they call people like Caitlyn Jenner "a confused old man in a dress".

No, the problem with "I would never date a transperson!" is that you never know whom you fall in love with.
It's assuming being born a male or female means you have some qualities, characteristics, what ever - that "men are from Mars and women are from Venus", when in reality all that is more a societal expectations and treatment, and the individual characteristics are stronger than any gender related.
It's assuming there's something "essentially female" or "male", that people are born with, and that every female/male born share, that makes the genders different.
It is assuming there's "female experience" no "male born" can ever understand, or "male experience" no "female born" can understand. This is total bullshit. No two women share the "female experience", it's all different to all of us, even sisters have different experience of being a woman in the world.
Transphobia goes beyond transpeople. The underlying attitudes and prejudices excuse sexism, chauvinism, transphobia, misogyny and misandry, as "natural reactions" to these inborn qualities. It excuses bullying tomboys for being "too boyish", and the male equivalent for being "too girly". It is in the bottom of teenagers being "confused" on if they are girls or boys. Transpeople have known their whole life. Most say they were about 3, 4, 5, when they started to protest the "wrong" gender expectations. It doesn't come when one is a teenager and starts getting the brunt of patriarchal society and "being a woman" might be a problem.

And when you can't see if the woman is trans or cis, you are physically attracted to her - then... it really doesn't make any sense to say you aren't attracted to transwomen.

Now, there are other reasons to why you wouldn't want to date a transperson. For example, you want to marry and get children. A transperson will probably not be able to give you any. Is the hassle really worth it? Or you simply aren't attracted to the person. I'm not attracted to every guy out there, even though I'm straight! Date who ever you want! Really, I'm sure transwomen wouldn't want to date a transphobe either.

But for goodness' sake, own your phobias and aversions!
It's OK to be transphobic! It's not OK to try to hide the transphobia by being an a-hole.

"For too long, we have allowed the laws of our nation to be written by its most aggrieved, least stable citizens. We’ve pandered to ideas that have no basis in reality because we know that the people who came up with those ideas will turn the social justice mob on us if we don’t."

Excuse me, what? The Congress and the President are "the most aggrieved, least stable citizens of your nation"? WTF? Don't you think that's going a bit too far in your eagerness to bash the Democrats?

No, your attack on transpeople has nothing to do with the Democrats, and don't stick to softball, because the girls would kick your ass there too.

Junior is Triggered, part XI

"My father didn’t take a lot of time to make good on his campaign promises. On the first day he sat behind the Resolute desk, he began signing executive orders..."

...trying to cancel everything Obama worked for, and attack everything dear to the Democrats. Like the environment. Makes me almost believe Covid is God's way to stop him from destroying the nature.
No, just think about it. So many people praying daily to God to save USA, and then Covid happens. Could be just a coincident, but...

"The ban was temporary, and it wouldn’t have allowed spying on Muslims who live peacefully in this country, as the fake news would have had you believe."

Hmm... who said it would? Looks like another strawman. (Besides... define "peacefully" >:-> USA once locked thousands of peacefully living Japanese heritage Americans into concentration camps, because they "must" be "dangerous".)

The problem with the Muslim ban was not that your dad tried to protect USA from terrorism. That's totally fine. The problem was - as usual -

* the rhetoric - using language to paint all Muslims terrorists, and all terrorism Islamic. The violence, harassment, and discrimination of "Muslims who live peacefully in this country" has increased, and you aren't doing anything to stop it. On the contrary. You keep attacking Ilhan Omar and speaking of her being a Muslim as if it explained why she's "bad", you call president Obama "Muslim" - as if it was something bad - and then you claim NOT to be islamophobic. Sure. Keep attacking Ilhan Omar because she's Social Liberal, but keep her religious beliefs out of it. Barack Obama is not and has never been a Muslim, but even if he was, it shouldn't mean anything, unless you think Muslims are somehow collectively "bad".

* ignoring the efforts of the people working on the customs, borders, embassies, Homeland Security, immigration; existing laws and structure; everything that was already being done - not knowing what happens, and not caring either

* creating plans and actions based on his assumptions and misconceptions totally ignoring what people who actually know what is happening, are saying.

The Islamophobic Administration

U.S. Muslims Concerned About Their Place in Society, but Continue to Believe in the American Dream

FACT CHECK: Trump's Tweets On Christians, ISIS And Vetting Miss The Bigger Picture

What Are ‘Terrorism-Related’ Offenses Trump Claims Foreigners Commit?

"The Worldwide War Against Christians"

As if.

"The bias against Christians on the part of the left and liberal lawmakers is bad, but at least liberals tend to just whine, while terrorists actually act on it."

You know, I have seen liberals more in church than you and your dad. All the pictures of your dad praying look staged, while the pictures of President Obama praying look real.

Also, the left's "bias against Christians" is justly critiquing unacceptable behavior and people standing up for what they believe, but the "Christians" they "whine" about, being assholes, of course make it all about "I'm just an innocent victim, and look at all those bad people being mean to me, I have done NOTHING!!!" Typical right wing refusal to take any responsibility of your own actions and words, typical Fascist lack of theory of mind.

"Each month 345 Christians are killed and 219 are imprisoned because of their faith"

Are they? By whom?

I haven't been able to find any more information about this except the Christian site Open Doors.
I also haven't been able to find a "world watch list" for the violence, discrimination and suppression against any other religion.

Also, the reports by Open Doors and other organizations, even the Christians themselves, who live in these so called extremely dangerous countries, don't support the claims. How have they received information from North Korea, for example? Are they aware of that there are churches in North Korea where people go? Totally in public, in bright daylight? There is only one mosque, in the Iranian embassy.

But let's assume they are correct. Where does this happen, and by whom?

“The primary cause of persecution is Islamic oppression,” Open Doors stated.

No, they didn't. They said “In seven out of the top 10 World Watch List countries, the primary cause of persecution is Islamic oppression."

Interesting to me is that two of the seven mainly Islamic countries on the top 10 list are  not on Trump's "terrorist country" list. Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
Why is this interesting? President Trump mentioned the 2015 San Bernardino attack, and the perps had roots in Pakistan. Osama bin Laden was caught in Pakistan. Why isn't Pakistan on the list?

Donald Trump's Call With Pakistan Was a Hypocritical Mess

In the rest of the top 10 World Watch List countries, the causes of persecution are
1) the country doesn't approve of any religions [China, North Korea (#1 perp)]
2) the country doesn't approve any but the main religion (which is basically the reason for harassment in those 7 Islamic countries) (this is why Christians are being harassed in India)

In Eritrea those who mostly harass Christians belong to the main stream nationally approved Christian denomination. They persecute Christian minorities.

“This means, for millions of Christians—particularly those who grew up Muslim or were born into Muslim families—openly following Jesus can have painful consequences.”

One has to understand one thing here.
To a Muslim, an "infidel" is not someone who never was a Muslim, it's an apostate. Someone who was born a Muslim or at one point of their lives chose to be a Muslim. Someone who received the "gospel", but rejects it. An unfaithful, disloyal. They are seen as renegades and traitors, and according to the law of the country, they should be killed.
It is only extreme Muslims who persecute born Christians and Christian immigrants and foreigners.

Considering that Trump loves to call people traitors and demands death penalty for various crimes; and that Trumpettes threaten people with execution and lynching, and Christian politicians are asking for death penalty for "crimes against God's laws", like homosexuality, witchcraft, and abortion, I think it's hypocritical of Christians to cry when the Muslims make God's law the law of the country. That is what Sharia law is, God's immutable divine law.

Now, I'm not saying it's not bad, because it is, but I'm saying that the American right is trying to push their version of Sharia law in place, and it's just as bad. Considering that Trump is trying to push "alternative execution methods", so who knows when Americans start beheading people as punishment for their sins.

But, yet another example of fascist lacking theory of mind. "It's only bad when it happens to me, not when I'm doing it".

Which leads me to the next point with all of this. It doesn't matter what some other people do in other countries. What matters is what Americans do in America.

It doesn't matter if hundreds of Christians are persecuted all over the world. It matters whom YOU persecute. Christians aren't persecuted as a group in USA and Europe, so when the Left decries religious persecution and points at the Muslims, they are correct. The Muslims are more persecuted in USA than Christians. The Christians' rights aren't violated - so much so, that they have to invent hurt and violations. "We are not allowed to say "Merry Christmas"!" "People get mad at me when I refuse to do my job of religious reasons, and then boycott my store!" "It's my religious right not to wear mask!" "I'm not crying, you are!"

"one whose ideas we are prohibited from criticizing, even if we’re not criticizing the people themselves"

*sigh* "Hate the sin, not the sinner", huh? Let's kill all the disgusting gays, because you love the sinner, and hate their sin? Sure. I doubt even you believe that crap.

I spent years trying to explain people that it is not antisemitism to criticize Israel for the human and civil rights violations they are guilty of, and that it is of course totally fine to boycott Israeli products and wares, as a protest against these violations, but when you start calling them "the Jewish state", and accusing all the Jews of being pro-Israeli and anti-Palestinian by proxy, and saying Zionism is racism, and other such things, quoting the Protocolls of the Elders of Zion, and presenting conspiracy theories about Jews controlling the world economy, press and USonian politicians, then you are being an antisemite.

The same way, one can condemn Islamic terrorism, Islamic antisemitism, such disgusting "traditions", like marrying children, gender mutilation, misogyny, violations of human rights under the guise of Sharia, etc. without being Islamophobic.

It is totally fine to criticize individuals, but not a whole people. "Muslims" are not a monolithic group of people who all think alike, just as "Christians" or "Americans" aren't. Or blue-collar workers, or New Yorkers.

"This has made it impossible to have anything resembling a real debate about radical Islam without being shut down or called a racist."

No, what has made it impossible to have anything resembling a real debate about radical Islam, is that some people believe every Muslim, except a few exceptions, who basically just confirm the rule, are radical Islamists and terrorists, and refuse to even listen to anything that claims anything different. It's when you do that, when you are called a racist. Or most likely Islamophobe. Because that's what you are. (But it's just words, and you shouldn't be sheltered from hearing uncomfortable truths, according to your own words. But truth hurts and you can't take it, so here we are.)

"Obama ordered his entire administration to use the phrase “violent extremism” so as not to hurt the feelings of murderous cowards who strap suicide vests on pregnant women and sell children as sex slaves."

No, Obama ordered his entire administration to use the phrase "violent extremism", because it is violent extremism, so as not to make innocent people who has never even said an unkind word to a fellow human beings targets of misdirected outrage.

And also, because he was speaking of all kinds of violent extremism, not just the Islamic one. I do hope you agree that ALL violent extremism, right wing, left wing, Islamic, White Supremacist, what ever, is to be condemned hard and without hesitation and doubt.

"...to counter  hateful extremist ideologies that radicalize, recruit or incite to violence.  Violent extremist threats can come from a range of groups and individuals, including domestic terrorists and homegrown violent extremists in the United States, as well as terrorist groups like al-Qaeda and ISIL."
Obama's White House Press Release

Let's say, "you had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides".

"Last Easter in Sri Lanka, radical Islamic terrorists wearing suicide vests entered churches and other places where Christians were celebrating the holiday and detonated the devices. Some 250 people, mostly Christians, were blown to bits. Another 500 were wounded. When Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton finally got around to offering their condolences, they did so like this: “The attacks on tourists and Easter worshippers in Sri Lanka are an attack on humanity,” the former president tweeted."

"When they finally got around to offering their condolences"... Hmmm
They tweeted about 4 hours later than the President of the country. When Obama was the President, he always posted first, without anyone berating those who posted after him. I think people should have the right to sleep a little longer on Easter Sunday morning, but you apparently don't. Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, and Elizabeth Warren all posted about 7 A.M. Hillary Clinton posted a couple of hours later. After the Sunday sermon. She probably heard of it then.
When did you post your condolences, and what did you say? The Internet has no record of you saying anything.

Nancy Pelosi
"Today’s heartbreaking attacks in Sri Lanka come as the country has worked hard to build a common future after years of war. Our thoughts are with the injured & the families of those killed in today’s Easter Sunday attacks."

Barack Obama
"The attacks on tourists and Easter worshippers in Sri Lanka are an attack on humanity. On a day devoted to love, redemption, and renewal, we pray for the victims and stand with the people of Sri Lanka."

Elizabeth Warren
"I'm heartsick for the victims of today's terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka. Hundreds have been killed and wounded. To slaughter worshippers at church during Easter service is an act of great evil. My thoughts and my prayers are with the victims and their loved ones."

Hillary Clinton
"On this holy weekend for many faiths, we must stand united against hatred and violence. I'm praying for everyone affected by today's horrific attacks on Easter worshippers and travelers in Sri Lanka."

Kamala Harris
Easter is a reminder that there is hope and rebirth even in the darkest of times. We must remember that today, more than ever.

I am horrified by the attacks in Sri Lanka, where so many families were celebrating such a joyous day. Praying for the victims and their loved ones.

Bernie Sanders
"Our hearts go out to the victims and families of the horrific attacks in Sri Lanka. No person should have to fear for their life in their place of worship. We must work to bring this world together around our common humanity."

Tulsi Gabbard
"My heart is with Sri Lanka on this #EasterSunday, w/hundreds killed & wounded in a horrific attack as they gathered in prayer. On a day devoted to love & peace, may we remember Jesus Christ’s message of love - for God & for each other - as we commit to defeating hate with love."

Cory Booker
“The Apostle Paul wrote, ‘Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep,'” Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) tweeted early Sunday morning. “. On a day meant for celebration, so many families in Sri Lanka are devastated, and my heart breaks along with theirs. There’s absolutely no justification for this.”

What did you dear Leader say:

"Heartfelt condolences from the people of the US to the people of Sri Lanka on the horrible terrorist attacks on churches and hotels that have killed at least 138 million people and badly injured 600 more. We stand ready to help."

No mention of Christians there. Not even as "Easter worshippers".

"Easter worshippers?

Are they kidding?

What would they have called them if it had happened on December 25? Christmas carolers? Why don’t they just slap the victims’ families in the face?"

No, they are not kidding. You are just an ignorant asshole making fuss over nothing.

“Easter worshipper” is not in any way a “weird” or “belittling” way of saying it. It might be unusual, and a lot of people might not have noticed it before much ado was made about it, big fuss, mountain of a molehill, simply because it was Obama who said it.

"A crash in the gallery of the Italian Roman Catholic Church of St. Michael, in Lawrence Street, near Tillary Street Brooklyn, during the celebration of solemn high mass yesterday morning, precipitated a panic among the 600 Easter worshippers that might have had serious results if it had not been for the efforts of calmer minds to quiet the fears of the excited ones."
- The New York Times, 1910

"There are special church services, crowded with holiday worshippers"
- Appendix to the Congressional Record, 1947

"The most gorgeous cathedral, filled with holiday worshippers, is not more pleasing in my recollection than that noble landscape by which we were surrounded"
- George Seddon · 1998

"On Sunday, two suicide bombers targeted the Christian church packed with Christmas worshippers, killing at least nine and injuring more than 30 others."
- Big News Network, 2017

"Easter worshippers encouraged to pray for Sri Lankan bombing victims"
- Winchester Star, April 22, 2019

"Tourists, Easter worshippers lament closure of Notre Dame"
- Fox News, April 20, 2019

There are tons of other instances, but I think that should suffice.

The thing is that the attack was directed not at all Christians, but explicitly those Christians who were worshiping God in churches on Easter Sunday. That is, Easter worshippers.
As has been pointed out several times, only Christians celebrate Easter.

The target was not the Christians who celebrated Easter, it was the Christians who worshiped on Easter. Plenty of Sri Lankan Christians celebrated Easter at home. Only those who were in those churches. Worshiping. On Easter. Easter worshippers.

And as President Obama pointed out, it wasn’t only the Easter worshippers who were hurt in the attack, there were also people there who weren’t there because they were Christian. Four hotels full of tourists on vacation were bombed as well. 46 foreigners were killed. Who knows if they were Christian.

Frankly, everyone who said “Easter worshippers” and didn’t mention the tourists, even as “other victims”, were talking ONLY about the Christian victims.

Also, the “I worship Jesus, not Easter!” is ridiculous. No-one has said you worship Easter. How ever did you even think it would mean that? President Obama and Hillary Clinton are Christian people, whether you accept it or not.

But what did other Conservatives say?

Donald Trump jr.
Nothing

Sean Hannity
Not a word

Mich McConnell
"I’m grieved this Easter Sunday by the horrific terrorist attacks on Christian churches and hotels in Sri Lanka that have killed hundreds and wounded many more.
These attacks are a tragic reminder of the continuing and global threat posed by terrorists. We stand with Sri Lanka in prayer, in mourning, and in solidarity against this evil enemy."

Mitt Romney
"As we celebrate the miracle of Easter, we hold in our hearts the victims of the senseless violence in Sri Lanka and their loved ones. We pray that they may experience God’s eternal grace, comfort and love."

Bill Weld:
"Leslie and I are horrified by the reports of the terrorist attacks in #SriLanka this Easter morning.  Our hearts and prayers go out to all the victims and their families, and to the entire Sri Lankan nation for the trauma they have suffered on a day that should have been a time for prayer and joyful worship. Nothing can match the horror of this cold-blooded, calculating slaughter of innocents on such a holy day. The perpetrators are subhuman cowards and must be held fully accountable for the tragedy they have caused.

There is no what so ever difference in the tone and wording of Democrats and Republicans, except that the Democrats actually said something, while most Republicans didn't even bother.

So, what about the Christchurch mosque shooting?

Mitch McConnell
I join all Americans in sending our deepest sympathies to the people of Christchurch, New Zealand, as they mourn the victims of yesterday's horrific acts of terror.
There is no room for hate and violence in our society, least of all in the places we turn for mercy and compassion.
So today, we stand with the New Zealand Muslim community and the faithful of the Linwood and Al Noor mosques in their hour of grief, and pray that all faith communities sustain each other on the healing road ahead.

Kamala Harris
My heart is heavy with grief for New Zealand & Muslims worldwide affected by the tragic murders in Christchurch. The massacre of those in a house of worship, in prayer, is evil & cowardly. We stand with our friends around the world to condemn hate & speak out against intolerance.

Bernie Sanders
"Our thoughts are with the victims of the horrific attack in Christchurch, New Zealand. No one should have to fear for their life because of their religion. We must come together to condemn all forms of hate and violence to build a future of respect and understanding."

Cory Booker
"I’m sickened by the news coming out of New Zealand—the horrific terrorist attack targeting Muslims at prayer that killed at least 49 people.
The rising tide of white supremacy and Islamophobia around the globe must be met with our determination to work against hate."

Barack Obama
"Michelle and I send our condolences to the people of New Zealand. We grieve with you and the Muslim community. All of us must stand against hatred in all its forms."

Melania Trump
"My deepest condolences to the families who lost loved ones in the horrific shooting. We pray & grieve with you and stand against all of the hatred."

Donald Trump
Breitbart News Network https://t.co/HdGfwuASWC via @BreitbartNews

Then he deleted that, and posted
"My warmest sympathy and best wishes goes out to the people of New Zealand after the horrible massacre in the Mosques. 49 innocent people have so senselessly died, with so many more seriously injured. The U.S. stands by New Zealand for anything we can do. God bless all!"

BTW, the Whitechurch shooter called Trump "a symbol of renewed white identity and common purpose". Now, I know that's just one man's opinion and it has nothing to do with Donald Trump, but if a Muslim terrorist said something similar about Obama, you would be all over it, tweeting, and retweeting, as if it was evidence of something.

"Take the coverage of Omar Mateen, for instance. He’s the monster who a couple of years back walked into the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, and shot and killed forty-nine innocent people. He committed the act in the name of radical Islam. We know that because he told us so."

He told us so? Then it must be true! When has a terrorist ever lied?
Then there's also the fact that he was active on gay dating sites, a friend said they used to go to gay clubs together when they were in the police academy, he asked a couple of class mates (male) out, several guests had seen him at the club, several times, even his family said they "didn't know". It was only his father who vehemently denied him being gay, but also his father thinks homosexuality is a sin. And it was a gay club. But, surely this could have nothing to do with anything, it is impossible he would have invented the Muslim terrorist excuse to save his dad of the humiliation of having to admit his son was gay.

"Remember the Fort Hood shooter? The radical Islamic army major who shot and killed thirteen people at a military base? CNN labeled him only as an “army psychiatrist,” with no mention of his religion or his extremist views, which had been documented in uncovered emails."

Fox News labels him also only as an "army psychiatrist". Most everyone does. And everyone mentions his religion and his extremist views also, after they became known.

I believe it was a terrorist attack, and the survivors should have received all the benefits that come with surviving a terrorist attack. And I am more left than Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Also, no-one was lamenting the death sentence, or getting outraged over the decision of shaving him violating his religious freedom, or being "an usual and cruel punishment".

"When some homegrown piece-of-shit militia group commits a terrorist act, however, the press will run out of ink calling its members Christians."

I wonder what those people think about you calling them "homegrown piece-of-shit militia". They are a big part of your voters. You should have some respect. Though they probably can't read, so it's pretty safe to call them anything you like in a book.

That their religion is mentioned is usually because they are Christians, and because the right wing press will run out of ink calling any and every terrorist Muslim, unless something else can be proven, so if someone commits an act of terrorism, it's best to be quick to prove he's not a Muslim, because otherwise the Right will say he is.

"Even its use of the phrase “white supremacist” is a lightly veiled pseudonym for “Christian.”

Only when they are Christian. There's quite a big group of Asatruende, and other Aryan Pagans there. In my mind they all are, because Christianity is a branch of Judaism, how ever twisted with Indoeuropean myths, and there is nothing there that could be used to justify in any way the White Man's supremacy over rest of the world, or any other activity White Supremacists engage in. Fascism only USES Christianity to keep the masses down, it doesn't follow the Christian teachings and values. They invent their own interpretations, using the Orwellian doublespeak, and just as they appropriate "Christmas", they use the Cherrypicked Christian term to describe their own Germanic Paganism.

"It’s the Christians, they say, who bomb abortion clinics, but it’s an army psychiatrist, not a radical Islamic, who murders more than a dozen people in cold blood."

Frankly, I don't think his blood was cold. But if you bomb abortion clinics because you believe it to be your Christian duty, then it should be mentioned you are Christian. If you shoot your fellow soldiers because you believe it's your Muslim duty, it should be mentioned.

"It’s an evangelical who attacks gays, but it’s a closet homosexual who kills dozens of people in a nightclub."

If the person kills gays because it's against his religion, then it should be said. If he kills gays because he has some sort of twisted psychological reasons due to the fact that he's gay, then that should be said also. Now, Omar Mateen is known as an Islamist terrorist, not as a gay guy who went berserk on a gay club.

"It’s a white nationalist Christian who attacks a mosque, but it’s a man with a troubled mind who kills his coworkers in San Bernardino."

It was a white nationalist Christian who attacked a mosque. Why wouldn't it be said? He was very open about it.
San Bernardino is generally classified as an Islamic terrorist attack, even though... he was working there, and it was Inland Regional Center's Christmas party - "a government-funded not-for-profit public benefit corporation that provides services and programs to more than 33,000 people with developmental disabilities and their families in California's San Bernardino and Riverside Counties."
That doesn't sound like a probable target for Islamist terrorists, I have to say...

I mean, the Boston Marathon bombing was obviously a terror attack - random killing in places with a lot of bystanders, perfect to strike fear to the hearts of people - and no-one is denying it was islamist, even though at the beginning no-one knew who did it. (North Korea was suspected initially.)

"During the campaign, I sent out a tweet that had a photo of a bowl of rainbow-colored Skittles accompanied by the following text: “If I had a bowl of skittles and I told you just three would kill you. Would you take a handful? That’s our Syrian refugee problem.”

As metaphors go, I didn’t think it was so terrible. Maybe not F. Scott Fitzgerald, but not bad for a guy with a business degree from Wharton, right?"

You stole it from feminists :-D. Or probably got it from someone who stole it.

You know how men reacted to that?

"These same people now object to the Skittles comparison. The analogy is identical: a handful of members of a group engage in violence that terrifies a portion of the population. That portion then fears the group in general because they cannot tell which members are safe and which pose a threat.

The only difference is that males are an acceptable target. It is okay to fear men. It is okay to hate men. It is okay to imply that until proven otherwise all men are rapists.

But you cannot say this of Syrian refugees. They have nuanced experiences. Most of them pose no threat to anyone. It is unconscionable to distrust them over a handful of bad actors."

The analogy is identical. I fully acknowledge your fear. But when the women who has been raped (20% of all women), dare to go out, go to work, interact with men, without demanding men are locked up or banned from the public space, why would you be sheltered and pampered, because you are afraid? It wouldn't be fair to "punish" the 90 men who hasn't raped a woman, because of the 10 who has, so why would it be fair to "punish" the 97 Syrian refugees, for the POSSIBLE crimes of 3? Your chance of meeting a terrorist is a lot smaller than a woman's chance of meeting a rapist.

After all, it was you who said: "If I’ve learned one thing about children—and human beings in general—it’s that they can thrive only when they’re challenged. Just as your muscles won’t grow if you don’t put them under the stress of weight lifting and your mind won’t expand if you don’t fill it with difficult thoughts, books, and arguments, people can’t grow if they’re not made uncomfortable, or at least challenged, sometimes."

Maybe you just need to stop being a fucking coward and see the refugees and Muslims as people, just like the blue-collar workers and union men you befriended.

Women's March Organizer Linda Sarsour Spoke of 'Jihad.' But She Wasn't Talking About Violence

Again, you get upset because you assume words must mean something they don't mean. And she even took care of illustrating her meaning with a story. Jihad doesn't mean "holy war".

"As it stands right now, the ideas contained in radical Islamic fundamentalism are completely at odds with the basic tenets of Western civilization."

ALL radical fundamentalism is completely at odds with everything of value.

American Christian fundamentalist radicalism

"Now before people in the fake-news media take me out of context and get too carried away, let me be crystal clear: I am not talking about the vast majority of Muslim people around the world"

Good. Don't. But your supporters are. So maybe you need to be more careful and remember to mention you are talking about radical Islamic fundamentalim, and not about Ilhan Omar or Linda Sarsour, who belong to the "vast majority of Muslim people around the world", and are not radical Islamic fundamentalists.

"If we aren’t free to criticize radical Islam on its merits and to speak freely about what’s wrong with people who subscribe to it blindly and do bad things in its name"

You are

"We’ve been told for so long, usually in the aftermath of some monstrous Islamist attack on the civilized world, that Islam is a religion of peace, but we must also acknowledge that there is a radical element that would kill you, me, and even the trans hippie who’s eating a vegan kale salad right now."

You only talk about the radical element. We know there are radical islamists and islamist terrorists who cause a lot of destruction and kill people. We know extreme right Muslim countries use Sharia law to control their countries.

"Even the ones like this man [the San Bernardino shooter] who came to the United States legally"

Yeah... he was born in the USA. Can't come more legally than that.

Guess which other terrorists were also born in the USA? Patrick Crusius, James Alex Fields Jr., Dylann Storm Roof, Timothy McVeigh, Terry Nichols...

"Why do liberals go out of their way to apologize for or excuse radical Islam while at the same time they condemn Christians, masculinity, family values, and the American way of life? You can’t have it both ways!"

I think you have misunderstood the "can't have it both ways". Because right now you are saying they are basically the same thing.

I live in an area with a lot of Middle Eastern refugees and immigrants. A lot of them are "Sweden Democrats". Basically Nazis. Not the Muslim ones. The Christian ones. They also whine about "liberals condemning Christians, masculinity, family values, and the American way of life"

Now, I wonder if he is going to say what he thinks is "family values" and "the American way of life"...

I suppose it's just what ever he thinks it is, so that he can attack liberals for "condemning" it.

"By definition, however, a disagreement has two sides. If one side engages in a full-out war of misinformation, hurtful invectives, and physical violence toward the other, it’s not a disagreement.

It’s called hate."

Full-out war of misinformation? You mean, "alternative facts"? Check
hurful invective? You mean, like "sleepy liberal losers, socialist crybabies, and hypocritical politicians and media", "the left, who are just a bunch of oversensitive babies who find everything offensive" "So-called activists on the extreme left have moved from their safe spaces and the basements of their parents’ houses out into the streets", "the trans hippie who’s eating a vegan kale salad right now", and such? Check
Physical violence toward the other? Check

Cars have hit demonstrators 104 times since George Floyd protests began

"'I was trying to have a conversation with them,' he said.

'You can obviously see from the way they're chanting and the things they say that they were just looking to beat up any white guy with a MAGA hat.

'These are Maoist terrorists,' he added.

'They are not Americans. They are not liberals. They are Maoists, and they will attack you, they will hurt you, they want to burn down this United States. Even if Joe Biden wins, they will not stop. Don't you understand me?'"

David, a former US marine called the cops to escort him home because he was so afraid of the "Maoist terrorists".

So - The Right hates the Left and BLM.
BTW, really scary looking mob those BLM protesters. I have to say that that MAGA hat guy looks the most dangerous of them all.

"Nowhere is this upside-down thinking by the left more evident than in the way Christians are treated in our country today."

Well... there are Christians... and then there are CINOs. And then there are the FFF "Christians". Christians are wonderful people. CINOs are not. And FFFs have no place in a civilized society.

"There were those who said he had chosen Judge Barrett solely because she was a woman, an olive branch to the crazed left-wing feminists in Congress."

Must have been some idiot Rightie. No-one who knows Amy Coney Barrett and "crazed left-wing feminists in Congress" (What a way to speak about the elected representatives of the people of United States. I bet you think you respect women. As long as they stay in their place...) would have thought so.

And you don't get points knocked off because you were a "traitor", you don't get woke points because you aren't woke. Gender is irrelevant.

My father has hired women for major roles for about as long as Joe Biden has been rubbing their shoulders and letting out hot breath onto their necks—which is to say, a very long time.

*sigh* Does this asshole think his language is not insulting, abusive and hurtful?
So, about for as long as Trump's been glaring and grabbing at half-naked teenaged girls and young women, because no-one dared to stop him?

Donald Trump, a champion of women? His female employees think so.

Well... Amy Coney Barrett is against abortion, GLBTQA+ people, and birth control. That is being a threat to civil, constitutional, and reproductive rights. You call it "being interested in expanding possibilities for only some women", and I call it being interested in expanding possibilities of the women who want to have their possibilities expanded.

"ACLU which stopped fighting for the civil liberties of all Americans a long time ago"

People deem ACLU's impartiality by two factors.
1) Whether they see themselves as potentially being accused with their help, or have their plant thwarted;, or whether they see themselves as potentially needing their help
or
2) if you needed their help and didn't get it.
Which one are you?

"It was Judge Barrett’s religion, however, that the Senate committee targeted."

Yes. She's a fundamentalist.

“Indeed, it lived loudly in the hearts of those who founded our nation as one where citizens could practice their faith freely and without apology.”

Yes, practice. Not force everyone else to practice that faith, too.

"In November 2018, senators Kamala Harris of California and Mazie Hirono from Hawaii suggested that Brian Buescher, my father’s nominee for the US district court in Nebraska, be disqualified because he belonged to the Knights of Columbus"

Knights of Columbus, "The Knights promote the Catholic view on public policy issues, including opposition to same-sex marriage, abortion, and birth control." The US law makes all of them legal, and if a person might get into a conflict between following the law and following their personal conviction and beliefs, they should choose their beliefs, and knowing this, they should not accept a position where they might get into a conflict like this.

It's like Kim Davis. She should have quit her job when gay marriage became legal, because she knew she wouldn't be able to follow the law and do her job.

"Hey, Sheldon, you remember anything about separation of church and state?"

Do you? Or do Christians not need to separate church and state?
And remember Rev. Jeremiah Wright?

"The left in this country has completely forgotten the Judeo-Christian values on which the United States was founded.  Democrats forget that the only reason we have a country in the first place is because a bunch of people got onto a ship and sailed here from England so they could practice their religion freely. Then, when it came time to write their laws, they looked to the Ten Commandments for guidance.

Separation of church and state in this country means that the government can’t tell people what faith they can practice. It doesn’t stop people from making laws based on their religious beliefs."

John Adams disagreed with you on that. And I think I'd rather take his word on it than yours. After all, he was there when it happened...

“the impious presumption of legislators and rulers, civil as well as ecclesiastical, who, being themselves but fallible and uninspired men, have assumed dominion over the faith of others, setting up their own opinions and modes of thinking as the only true and infallible, and as such endeavoring to impose them on others, hath established and maintained false religions over the greatest part of the world and through all time.”
- Thomas Jefferson

No, the Right has forgotten the values on which the United States was founded, and try to push their own as the Founders'. Just the same way as you push your own values as "Judeo-Christian".

Separation of church and state doesn't stop people from making laws based on their religious beliefs, IF THE PEOPLE AGREES ON IT, which is what Democracy means. The people choose the law makers, to try to represent them according to their best ability.

You keep forgetting Hillary got the popular vote. Donald Trump doesn't have the people behind him. He is the President because of the electorate college, not by the will of the people. He should think a little about what the people wants, in stead of doing what ever he likes. Now he lost the election again, and this time he won't even have the electoral college.

BTW, could you recite the 10 commandments? Do you think you and your daddy keep them? Especially Jesus' Annotated Version?

There are six things that the LORD strongly dislikes, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.
— Proverbs 6:16–19

This whole book is "a lying tongue, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discords among brothers". I'd say "haughty eyes" as well. A lot of bragging and arrogance there...
So the fruit of your tree proves you are not a Christian.

"No one, for instance, has asked Ilhan Omar in a public forum whether or not she married her brother to commit immigration fraud."

No-one has asked you whether you married your sister to commit immigration fraud either. Did you?
BTW, who IS your real father?
Did your mother commit immigration fraud to birth you in the USA?
Were you born in the USA? Do you have your a birth certificate? No, a REAL birth certificate, and not that fake one your "dad" bought.

1/3 of USonians believe Obama is a Muslim. They are "deeply uncomfortable", because they believe Obama is a Muslim, that the “dogma” of Islam “lives loudly” within him, and therefore he is a terrorist, or at least supports terrorists, and they are quite open and loud about this.
I haven't heard you say a word of rebuke to them.
Even though you should know he isn't a Muslim, and even if he was, it shouldn't matter.
At least if one believes you, and you seriously believe that most Muslims are fine, ordinary, peace-loving people who just want to get on with their lives and have caused no-one ever any trouble, why would people be so worried and uncomfortable about Obama's perceived religion?
So... I find it hard to believe you.

"At the time, the fact that we had any support in the Jewish community was baffling to many pundits."

I wonder. Most people who know the American Jewry, know they are like any other Americans. Some are Conservative, some are Liberal. There is no monolith "Jewish community" your dad could make promises to. Not every Jew in USA want the same things.

Appointing conservative judges is only pleasing to conservatives, and 3/4 of Jews are Democrats. Half of them are liberal. Only 20% of Jews are Conservative, and most of them are Orthodox Jews.
You could, of course, say, that 3/4 of American Jews aren't Jews.

"He campaigned on restoring fairness in trade and he’s taken the Chinese and other nations head on."

Interesting that you mention this in connection to the Jews... why do you think the Jews would be particularly interested in trade?

"Similarly, he promised to move the United States Embassy to Jerusalem, something which multiple presidents including George Bush, Bill Clinton, Other Bush, and even Barack Obama also promised to do but never delivered."

Barack Obama didn't promise to move the US embassy to Jerusalem. He acknowledged Jerusalem as Israel's capital, which it is, but he said nothing about the embassy.

"Barack Obama made no secret of his disdain for Israeli leadership"

Every decent person disdains Israeli leadership. Supporting the fascist government doesn't make you Israel's friend. Benjamin Netanyahu and Avigdor Lieberman are... Uh.

"When [my dad] makes a promise, he follows through."

Yeah, sure...

Trump’s 40 Biggest Broken Promises

He says "give me a break" and "left lost its mind" five times in this book. Kill your darlings, donny-boy.

"the United States should support the only democracy in the Middle East"

Israel isn't the only democracy in the Middle East.

"You see, the United States is a leader, and others follow us"

Yeah... Guatemala followed you. The rest stayed in Tel Aviv.

"It’s called leadership—something Obama sorely lacked."

No, darling, it's called delusion. Something that has become painfully clear to everyone but you since Biden won the election.
