Junior is Triggered, part VII

So... the presidential announcement speech...

"Almost all of his remarks that day, even the most controversial, came off the top of his head."

No wonder it's all messed up. I have a separate entry on that speech.

"What caused the left to explode in outrage came a few days later."

No. The people who reacted, reacted already when the words exited your father's mouth

Yes, it is insane that you think "anytime anything horrible happens, such as a mass shooting, my father is to blame".

Your father is to blame only for the things he says and refusing to acknowledge that his words have power.

Which is what Hillary Clinton, and the rest of the world, is talking about.

Here's Trump's announcement speech

This is what Hillary said:
What Hillary Clinton is talking about, is things like this.

"When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.
It’s coming from more than Mexico. It’s coming from all over South and Latin America, and it’s coming probably— probably— from the Middle East."

So, even though one could say that Donald Trump didn't call all Mexicans criminals, drug dealers and rapists, and even assumed that "some" of the immigrants are "good people", the general gist of it is that Mexican immigrants are bad people.
And how many Trump supporters have we heard talking about Mexican immigrants being criminals, drug dealers and rapists, or at least most of them.
Or, at least, if they haven't been caught yet, or actually committed the crime, they are going to.

And it's not just Mexicans, it's all Hispanic and Latinx people, and also the Middle-Eastern people. Anyone who looks like they might belong to these groups.

Even you are saying it. Totally oblivious to what you are actually saying. Or totally aware but you just don't care.

Ilhan Omar at least listens, learns, acknowledges, apologizes, and then never does it again, you just keep spouting frogs again and again, and denying everything.

Which is why I don't think Ilhan Omar is antisemitic, but you really are racist and xenophobe.

"If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck"

Now, what is the truth in this statements?
Are immigrants criminals, drug dealers and rapist?
No.
Are illegal immigrants?
No.

Illegal Immigration - Fact vs Fiction

Illegal Immigrants and Crime – Assessing the Evidence

(It is fascinating that you quote sources when they support your statements and theories, and dismiss the same sources when they don't support you.)

The racist narrative about your father is narrated by your father. Seriously, when do you people realize that people will think you are a racist when you say racist things

"the scourge of illegal immigration"... what is that? Is there such a thing? No, not really.

"the election became a race between Hillary Clinton and Donald J. Trump" - 56 words (and a year) later, "by then, the race truly was between Hillary and my father". Uhhuh. Ok.
Frankly, when Donald Trump announced he's running for president, not many people took him seriously. Neither of them, not Hillary nor Donald were the first choice of most people who ended up voting for them in the election. A lot of those votes were "not the other one" votes. People were voting for Donald because they didn't want to vote for Hillary, and Hillary because they didn't want to vote for Donald.

"Hillary Clinton was collapsing into her SUV"
She had pneumonia. And she doesn't use amphetamine to keep her going.

"the Republican National Committee wasn't exactly breaking its neck to support us".
I think you meant "breaking its back". That means "work hard". Breaking ones neck is to... basically commit suicide.
You are berating the RNC for not dying to support your father, even though he had the full support of the RNC because he was the Presidential candidate of the party. What ever some single Republicans thought about your father, the party machinery supported him.
You are ungrateful and unfair.
I suppose that's part of the "no-one helped us" narrative. The American fascists love that.
Despicable.

Ilhan Omar and her family went through the proper channels and filled out all the paperwork required of them, exact the same route this Ethiopian Muslim woman had done. She and her family are hard-working and grateful American citizens, but that doesn't stop you from spreading baseless lies about her. No, it's not the illegal immigrants who make things hard for Muslim immigrants and citizens. It's Xenophobes who make things hard for them. It's people like your dad who spread this malicious narrative about immigrants being drug dealers and criminals.

Like you just did.

"They like to pretend that there’s no difference between a good immigrant and a bad one. In other words, someone who enters the country illegally, carrying ten pounds of heroin, should be afforded the same rights as someone who has come in to be a doctor. Their rationale is ridiculous. We should be supporting those who followed the rules to come here, not criminals whose first act on US soil is a violation of our laws."

Do you even know the immigration legislation you are criticizing?
Have you actually heard anyone say that drug couriers shouldn't be punished, that criminals shouldn't be punished, or that that shouldn't be any hinder of them not getting the citizenship?
No, because no-one has said that.
If you are an immigrant and are caught in a crime, you will be deported. That's the law, supported by everyone, the left just as well as the right, and saying anything different is wrong.

No, California’s ‘sanctuary state’ law does not allow the release of dangerous criminals to the streets

6 big things to know about sanctuary cities

Carrying 10 pounds of heroin is a major drug offense, and if you are a citizen, you will go to jail for at least 11 years for just half a pound. If you are not a citizen, you will be deported. Even permanent residents will be deported with no mercy, if they are found with even small amounts of drugs. If you are an unauthorized immigrant, you will never ever be able to move to USA, even if you have family there.
If you are found carrying 10 pounds of heroin, you won't find sanctuary in sanctuary cities.

You are talking crap and insulting not only all the immigrants, but also the border control and customs officers, and everyone working on embassies and migration agency.
And of course there will be people inventing excuses.

Why Don’t Immigrants Apply for Citizenship? There Is No Line for Many Unauthorized Immigrants

The Reason That Immigrants ‘Don’t Just Come Here Legally’

Why Don't They Just Come The Legal Way?

"People don’t cross jungles, rivers and deserts to get here because they are lazy and don’t want to do the paperwork."

Also, most drugs come to the country totally "legally" -  It's not the people trying to save themselves and their children from the violence, drug wars, political unrest, hopelessness, to a better life by crossing "jungles, rivers and deserts" who carry drugs with them. They come with the ordinary, legal merchandise, fruits, vegetables, minerals, what ever is imported from Mexico and other countries. They enter with couriers who are used to carry small amounts of drug over the border, and most of them look like any other person. The majority of drug couriers are US citizens.
The drug lords have been doing this business for longer than your dad his, and they are very good at it. The risk of a child family getting detected and deterred is too big, so they just pack their wares in a box and hide it within hundreds of other boxes, and hope they won't get detected. But they send over so much of the drugs that the ones that are caught are dismissable.

They are just happy you are harassing the people trying to get away from the drug wars. Even more so when you harass children coming alone. Especially when you create them by separating families and then losing the parents. We are talking about children. We know the organizations and gangs target children, because when you get them when they are young, you'll have them forever. Logical would be to take care of the children and give them everything they need and some of what they want, and make them grateful to the American society, in stead of treating them like animals, robbing them from even the little they had (families), telling them every day and every way how worthless, bad, and unwanted they are.

Now, Ethiopians in Denver haven't been harassed that much. I can imagine they are being harassed more now than 20 years ago. When they are being told the undocumented immigrants are a huge problem, and people say they harass them because they think they are undocumented immigrants, it's very easy to blame the undocumented immigrants, especially in USA, where the victim is always guilty of their own abuse. (Women are raped because of what they wear, how they behave, because they didn't say "no" clearly enough, because they were drinking, because they were in wrong place; not because someone raped them. Kids are being bullied because of something they did, said, or were, not because bullies chose to bully them. George Floyd died because he presumably committed a crime, not because Derek Chauvin strangled him.)
Also, there's this insane myth "you need to play nice and lie low, or you'll attract unwanted attention to our group!"

BTW, about your family's immigration history... Here's more truth about that. According to Trump's immigration policies, his parents and grandparents would have been stopped from entering USA - poor, uneducated, young, with no special skills or talents, coming to USA just because they had family here, and definitely no reason to assume they would not become public charge.

It is fascinating, this, with history and ancestors, and what things have stood for...
President Trump's grandfather was kicked out of Germany for dodging the draft. That's why he went to USA, to have children just so that they could become American citizens.
President Trump's father lived in his mother's basement still as a grown up.
He was only 35 when the WWII started, but didn't even consider joining.
Apparently draft dodging is a family tradition.

"The left will argue that today's immigrants pull their own weight, but the facts tell a different story"

Today's immigrants", huh.

Donald Trump jr. says they don't pull their own weight.

He didn't say "illegal immigrants", he said "today's immigrants". And this is not just something he said in an interview, something that could be brushed off as a mistake that happened because a spur of a moment. This is not ex tempore. This is a book he wrote. A book that he wrote a manuscript for, and then edited it, reread it, rewrote it... and then it was accepted for publication and read and edited by other people. He MEANT all the immigrants.

Let's look at the facts, then. Do they tell a different story?

One will find out that the reason to why so few people from "3rd world countries" came to USA before 1965 immigration act, was that the immigration laws before 1965 Immigration and Nationality Acts were racist, heavily restricting or even banning non-European immigration. For example, the Chinese helped built the nation, but were banned to immigrate in the Chinese Exclusion Act 1882.

Right now the most immigrants arrive from Central America and Caribbean islands, and from South East Asia.

Most South East Asian immigrants, from India, China, Philippines, South Korea, Vietnam and Japan, speak acceptably good English, and they are more likely to be highly educated, to have higher incomes, lower poverty rates, and are less likely to be uninsured. THAN THE NATIVE CITIZENS.

Most Central American immigrants on the other hand, are more likely to not speak English, not be highly educated, to have lower incomes, higher poverty rates, and are less likely to be insured. BUT they are also more likely to be employed than native citizens, so they aren't coming to USA because they are lazy.

The claim that the 1965 immigration act opened the gateways to undesirable immigrants is total bullshit.
Mexicans started immigrating already in late 19th century, and became one of the most usual countries of origin in 1919.
Cuban revolution made Cubans one of the largest immigrant groups. That happened also before the 1965 act.
The largest group of immigrants "invading" USA the act opened the "gateways" to were the Filipinos and the Chinese.

That these "undesirables" come to USA more than the "desirables", to Donald Trump jr's chagrin (and possibly sr's too), is that the "desirables" stay in their home countries. We have it better here than there, and have had it better for a very long time now. The QUALITY of the immigrants hasn't been deteriorating. Today's immigrants are just as hardworking, willing to work and do right for them, willing to become a contributing part of the society, willing to pay taxes and participate in the civil duties, and grateful for becoming citizens as they were 100 years ago. And I can tell you that when the Swedes, Finns, Norwegians, and Danes came to USA, they didn't speak much English either.

THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THE COLOR OF THEIR SKIN.

The society has most certainly changed, but there is still work to do for those who want to do it, and do it cheap. Like the immigrants. Undocumented immigrants and guest workers pay taxes, for all the things they buy and for the jobs they do, unless their employer cheats. And that's hardly something to accuse the immigrants for.

Also, as Donnie said, if the living costs in Mexico are lower than in USA, if the people are used to lower living standard, and doesn't whine about not having the latest iPhone, and are happy being paid way less than the minimum wages, and therefore sell their job for less than natives - it's not the immigrants' fault, now, is it? How many American citizens won't accept a job that doesn't pay living wage? How much are the employers to blame?
It is they who choose whom they employ.
It is they who choose how much salary to pay.
It's they who say that they can't pay minimum salary to their employers, because their profits would diminish.

The 19th and 20th century immigrants were ready to work for basically nothing, and then came the "socialism" and told people that their employers are getting rich on their work - which is true. I mean, Trump brags about having driven up the rents and the value of property in New York.
Who is paying? What happens to those who can't pay?
Do you think immigrants, even legal ones who come to USA to hunt the American dream, can live in a Trump house? Or any Trump-wannabe's house? No. Of course not. You aren't building housing for poor people and immigrants. You are building for rich people.

"a hardworking, grateful pool of workers"...

I'm pretty sure you don't understand what you just admitted.

You want cheap, non-complaining slaves.

"According to the Obama administration, not to take those minors in and give them free food and shelter would have been a severe human rights violation"
It would have been that according to international laws and human decency, but you people wouldn't recognize either.
(No-one but you think "for eternity".)

We went to a border detention center for children. What we saw was awful

Yes, I know she says, and perhaps even thought, it was a comment to the media, that she doesn't care any longer what people think of her, and she chose it to "drive the left crazy", but if that's the case, she is very stupid. Of all the times she could have worn this, visiting the detention center was probably the worse. Has she worn it anywhere else? I haven't seen her wear it anywhere else. Have u?

OK, so according to Donald Trump jr. Mexican and Central American children are ruthless, bloodthirsty thugs, sent to USA to destroy it. Don't feel sorry for those children, says he, they are predators, waiting to spring at you and tear your throat up.

MS-13 targets Central Americans. If you are a white person middle class person living in suburbs, you don't need to care one bit about MS-13. They don't care one bit about you.

I’ve Been Reporting on MS-13 for a Year. Here Are the 5 Things Trump Gets Most Wrong.

And what had Donald Trump done about Extreme Right terrorism, gangs, organizations, and violence?
"Stand down and stand by?"
A Dark and Constant Rage: 25 Years of Right-Wing Terrorism in the United States

Because if you are a WASP, this doesn't have any impact to your life.

After 9/11 attacks, some local immigrant owned businesses were attacked. I got worried and contacted my neighbor, a Middle-Eastern immigrant, telling him that if he ever felt in any way threatened, he could come to us, we'd have his back. He looked at me nonplus, and said, thank you, but there is no need. Later I found out that it had been just Muslim owned businesses, and he was a Christian, and that it was the same people he belonged to who had done the deed. He knew he would never be targeted with this violence.
That's why the Trumpettes aren't in any way worried about extreme right violence and white supremacists. It's their people. They know they will not be targeted by them.

The immigrants of today never had the chance to replicate the experience - what about your "thousands of immigrants" you have met who do? They came after The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965. 94% of immigrants, legal and illegal, are good people, grateful for being in USA, grateful for everything they have, grateful for everything USA has to offer - freedom, peace, work - hardworking people contributing.

Make a big case of every illegal immigrant who has done something bad. How many are they? How many cases do you know? 10? 100? 1000? There's at least 4 million undocumented immigrants in the country.

You remember posting that? Are you aware of that it started with #notallmen? If you think it's totally fine to punish all immigrants because of the risk of there being some bad people, you have to accept people are going to apply the "logic" to every group of people. And you belong to quite a lot of them.
Not all capitalists have gotten rich by exploiting their workers, but some have, so let's get rid of all capitalists.
Not all real estate moguls are crooked, but some are, so let's kick out all of them.
Not all white people are racist, but some are, so send them back to where they came from.

"At the time, Ted Kennedy could have proposed a bill that required all men to wear pink pants with little whales on them, and Congress would have passed it."

First you say that people were feeling sorry about Kennedys because of JFK, then you say the "debate of the bill raged for months".
In reality, he was in a plane accident, almost died, and returned after all the sympathy had died away, because life goes on.

He did work on Higher Education Act of 1965, Voting Rights Act of 1965, and Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965.

I can't imagine what in these laws you think removed the immigrants' ability to work to reach their American Dream.
The Immigration act removed the restrictions to practically everyone but Europeans to immigrate to USA. That means that that nice Ethiopian born lady is in USA thanks to that law.
The Voting Rights Act prohibits racial discrimination in voting.
The Higher Education Act offered help to low-income citizens to get an education. And as education is the best way out of poverty and dependence, it seems a bit... weird... that you attack Ted Kennedy for the legislation he was driving while saying he wanted people to stay poor. I'll just assume you don't have the slightest idea of what makes people poor and dependent, and just attack Democrats for any and all reasons you can think of.

I can't see any way how any of these laws would make it impossible for poor people to come to USA and become rich on their hard work and perseverance.

"The younger Kennedy, undoubtedly a smart fellow (except when he was drunk behind the wheel in Chappaquiddick)"

Was he? As far as anyone knows, he wasn't.
Ted Kennedy’s Chappaquiddick Incident: What Really Happened
But you were arrested for public intoxication - and as usual, was bailed out by daddy.

"Soldiers who had returned from World War II bought houses, built businesses, and began voting Republican because Democrats had nothing to offer them other than higher taxes and more spending on government programs that didn’t work"

Whereas it is true that more veterans are Republican than Democrat, the difference isn't that big, and it was even smaller after WWII.

I wonder which government programs he is referring to. G.I.Bill? That allowed (white) WWII veterans to buy houses, build businesses, and get an education? Signed by the Democrat president?

I wonder what he bases this statement on, though. He doesn't say.

Also, Kennedys weren't poor and they were Democrats, so being a homeowner with beautiful family, good job, a lot of money doesn't make you want to vote for Republicans. Kennedys didn't need government assistance, so why were they Democrats?
Maybe, the Grinch thought, there is more to Democrats than giving things to poor people? Maybe giving people some things "free" now, so that they can give things to others "free" later, isn't that bad idea after all? (Dr. Seuss, BTW, was also a Democrat.)

"Kennedy needed poor people who spoke very little English and who would want to take advantage of some of the massive welfare programs the democrats were selling to the American people"

The white WWII veterans sure wanted to take advantage of the G.I.bill, and get housing, education, and jobs.

"that would do away with the old quota system used to govern immigration, which gave equal weight to immigrants from stable, friendly countries and blew the doors wide open for people from Third World countries."

Oh. "Why do we want these people from all these shithole countries here? We should have more people from places like Norway."

Does that nice Ethiopian born lady know you think she's an undesirable from a $#ⓘ†hole country and should have been turned out because she is likely to become a burden of society, being a poor, black, Muslim, and Ethiopian? And a woman... likely to birth unwanted children...

Not only would poorer immigrants flood our shores and social services, but Teddy’s plan also enabled the families of those people to be brought in for generations, beginning what we now call “chain migration.”

You mean, like Melania and her parents?

By the way, the idea of not wanting immigrants who would drain our social safety net is nothing new. A good friend recently took a tour of Ellis Island, where this quote about the Immigration Act of 1882 was displayed:

Those words were in force during a time when immigration truly made our country great. (And I’m sure the sign will be removed about five minutes after this book is published. Facts hurt!)

"When immigration truly made our country great" - hmm... when it was limited to mostly Europeans, and then you whine about the 1965 law that opened the immigration to people from "3rd world countries". But you are not racist, not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all.

No, it's nothing new. It's still on. Which you would know, if you actually knew anything about what you are talking about. The immigration legislation has had the Public Charge Rule since 19th century, and that quote is part of history no-one is denying, so it's not going to be removed, especially because no-one really cares about your book.
Facts hurt.

"Once they started to feed off the system, they would start families who would be Democrats forever. That is what Democrats won’t tell you, and it might trigger many of them: they want immigrants to rely on welfare. They want individuals to depend on the government from cradle until grave."

They won't tell you this, because it's not true. Welfare is a crutch and you are not supposed to use it if you don't need it.
The welfare is designed to strengthen the weak links, not to weaken the strong links.
I know it's impossible for you to understand that, because you have been taught that to strengthen the chain, you need to remove the weakest links, and because you believe the lowest class is supposed to be poor and happy, grateful worker, content, humble, and obedient. Like all Fascists. Really, if there are no slaves, who will do the work?
The Democrats believe in an equal society where everyone works for the best of the society. Co-operation. Unity. Solidarity. You know, those things you call "socialism", so you can feel... "patriotic" or something in stead of actually doing something to actually saving the country.

Frankly, rich kids like you are the parasites. You haven't become rich with the work of your own hands, you have exploited other people, gotten rich with their work, by paying them as little as you can, and selling it as high as you can. You are good at creating illusions and making people want them, so much that they will pay what you ask. You are a snake oil seller. You hate the Democrats, because they are telling people not to buy your snake oil, that the produce of their work belongs to them, not you.
It takes time to teach a guy to fish, and he can't learn if he dies of hunger while you teach him. The guy will vote for the guy who both gives him a fish and teaches him to fish, and then buys the fish on fair price. You will teach them to fish, and make them pay for the rest of their lives for the fish you gave him while he was learning to fish, but taking every fish they catch.

When asked what she thought about the Democrat plan of giving everyone a job, Ivanka Trump answered "I don't think American people in their heart want to be given things".

Seriously, the idea of the Democrats want people to be poor, doesn't explain why so many Democrats aren't poor. Kennedys aren't poor, but they are Democrats. Warren Buffett isn't poor, but is a Democrat. Bill Gates isn't poor, but is a Democrat. Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Nancy Pelosi, Al Gore, all the other Democrat senators and congressmen, aren't poor. Clintons and Obamas aren't poor. Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Taylor Swift, Cher, Chris Evans, Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Reese Witherspoon, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Will Smith aren't poor.
You can be a Democrat and have a life with a great job, a beautiful home, and a perfect family. You can be rich and famous, and still have a heart.

You are insulting half the American population, and expecting them still to vote for your dad, and like you. They aren't Ted Cruz.

"Without dependence on big government, the Democrats have nothing to offer. It’s their power source, and self-sufficiency and independence are their Kryptonite."
Again, a lot of self-sufficient and independent people are Democrats. If the Republicans were any good, why wouldn't they want to be Republicans? The Democrat tax plans influence them, too. When Elizabeth Warren proposed tax raises of 6% to billionaires, Bill Gates was one of them. And he's still a Democrat.

You do know that the government doesn't have much other income than taxes. For the state to be able to pay for everything you demand they pay for, like military, border control, police, etc. somebody has to pay taxes.
I am willing to pay taxes to finance the policies I support. You just assume the state prints money to pay for everything.
When I'm talking about free education, I mean it's free for the students. You know, the way you had it. But because not all parents are wealthy, I am willing to pay at least some of it for someone else's kids. You know, "it takes a village to raise a child". The hope is that these kids will be able to pay for my retirement AND the next generation's education. but, if they choose to do so or not is up to them. I will be paying their education any way, the "crowdfunding" way, because I believe young people should be able to get as good an education as their aptitude, desire and hard work can give them. That's the way it works in Finland, and we have the best education in the world.
I pay taxes because I want a society where those who can't take care of themselves are taken care of. There are many reasons a person can't take care of themselves. They can be too young, too old, too sick, too injured, perhaps injured in their souls. They might be too fragile. These people exist and they are Americans too.

Some of them are the children of more generations of American citizens than the second generation immigrants like you and your dad. Did you know that your dad is only 3/4 immigrant? Every other president of USA has more American generations behind them than your dad. Hillary Clinton is less of an immigrant than your dad.
Does he hate the immigrants because he's afraid they will come and do what his father did, and do it better?

"Ted and his brother Robert Kennedy, who happened to be the attorney general of the United States at the time—something I like to remind people of when they start talking about “nepotism” in the Trump White House"

Well... brothers Kennedy had pretty good education in law and politics, plenty of experience working with political issues, and they all had enlisted. They were very accomplished, and would have been in politics even without each other. Remind people of nepotism as much as you like, but if you whine about Hunter Biden not having any experience in banking but still getting jobs there, remind people of why your sister was employed as a White House adviser with no what so ever education or experience in it? You claim your dad is the best businessman ever lived, so she couldn't even offer him expertise in that area. Nepotism isn't just hiring relatives, it's hiring relatives simply because they are related.

The reason why you will not be held to the same standards as the Kennedys is because you don't reach the standards of the Kennedys. Except perhaps in cheating your wives, and being a-holes.
Let the cobbler stick to his last.

Yes, you digress. You meander and change subjects so quickly I'm getting whiplash.

"our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually" - true
"it will not cause American workers to lose jobs" - true
The American workers lost jobs because the American people wanted to buy things cheaper, and the American businesses wanted to pay less wages to their employers, and they wanted to get the things done cheaper, so they bought foreign things, avocados from Mexico, cars from Japan, crap from China, and moved the industries and manufacturing to countries where it was done cheaper, China, Mexico, elsewhere. It's not the fault of the illegal immigrants. It's your own fault.
The reason why people support your dad is because they don't want to think it's their own fault, they don't want to change their habits and make the effort, and they want scapegoats to blame instead of taking responsibility of their actions.
The Democrats aren't lying and whitewashing and sugarcoating to make the medicine go down, they just tell how it is and let you make the choice yourself.
Unfortunately, a lot of people don't want to take the medicine unless they have to.

"Subsequent studies have also shown that the bill decreased the number of immigrants who eventually returned to their home countries."

When is your mom going to return to her home country? Should your dad go back to Scotland or Germany? What about Melania, her parents, and Barron? When are they going to go back to Slovenia?

"thank the Kennedys for enabling a permanent welfare state for which their Democrat descendants blame us."
No you don't make any sense. You have been saying the whole time that the Democrats want a "permanent welfare state", now you say the Democrats blame the Republicans of that they have it?

"Today the cost of illegal immigration to the American people is staggering. According to a recent report by Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting (FAIR), a supposed media watchdog that is actually fair only to the left, taxpayers “shell out approximately $134.9 billion to cover the costs incurred by the presence of more than 12.5 million illegal aliens, and about 4.2 million citizen children of illegal aliens.” The real number might be $250 billion."

Ooops... wrong FAIR. That quote comes from Federation for American Immigration Reform.
Media Bias Fact Check: FAIR

Fact check: Trump wrong about illegal immigration costs

"According to the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), the percentage of Medicaid funds that were paid to illegal immigrants rose from 6 percent in 2007 to 17 percent in 2017, while the increase of US citizens on Medicaid was half that or less."

I haven't found any reference to that "Medicaid funds paid to illegal immigrants", so I can't verify the claim.
I need to point out, though, that it's very unclear what is being referred to - percentage of what? It cannot be the percentage of Medicaid, because both amounts grew, so it is probably referring to the amount itself - and the starting point is not given.
It means that it's quite possible I paid the white guy 156 dollars 2007, and the brown guy 10 dollars, and now I pay the white guy 164 dollars, and the brown guy 33 dollars. The rise is big, but the amount in dollars is not.

Also, one needs to consider WHO receives the Medicaid?
60% of USA is white, but only 40% of Medicaid go to white people.
Hispanic and Latinx are 18% of the population, 25% of Medicaid
The Black are 14% of the population, 21% of Medicaid
The rest are different ethnicities, like Native Americans and Asian.

Also, illegal immigrants aren't eligible for medicaid (with some exceptions). The murdering, raping, drug dealing animals aren't getting any of these benefits.

“The average immigrant household consumes 33 percent more cash welfare, 57 percent more food assistance, and 44 percent more Medicaid dollars than the average native household,” according to Jason Richwine, an independent public policy analyst for the CIS.

I suppose it's this study he refers to. Hard to know.

Yes, immigrant. Not illegal immigrant.
Let's look at why this is?

The immigrant families are willing to work for low wages that aren't enough to support the families.
Immigrant families are bigger, have more children.
Immigrant families don't have inherited property to lean on.
Immigrant families don't have relatives, family acquaintances, and inherited social status ("Jimmy's boy") to "help" them.

I would like to remind everyone about the time when Donald jr. took a "gap year", he was still using daddy's money.
"My budget might have gotten even tighter if my parents had remembered the Mobil card I had. I kept the gas tank in the Jeep full, and was able to buy a meal with it every now and then."

(I would also like to point out that I was taught to save already when I was little. There's an old Finnish proverb: "It's not the large income but the small expenses that make you rich". So... a 20-something son of a millionaire who has been working, but has "no money" is either economically very stupid, or lying.)

Let's talk about WHAT these "governmental benefits" actually are:

SSI (Supplemental Security Income)
Native household gets twice as much as "illegal immigrant" household

TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)
That is the highest among "illegal immigrants", and it is very temporary and to get it one has to get employed within two years.

School lunch program is a bigger part of the welfare cost of illegal immigrants. It doesn't benefit illegal immigrants, but their legal citizen children. I do hope you don't want children to go hungry.

WIC (The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children)
is also high among "illegal immigrants", more than 5 times higher than among native households, and almost 3 times higher than among legal immigrant households. Again, do you want women and children go hungry?

SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) (food stamps) is given only to legal immigrants and US citizens.

Medicaid is also not given to illegal immigrants, except when they are pregnant, disabled, or if denying them the care would cause the USA to pay more for the care of their US born children. As far as I know, none of the murderous Mexican thugs are pregnant, disabled, or supporters of families. Are they?

Housing per household is half of what is given to native households, and here, again, not to illegal immigrants, but to their American children.

All in all, the native households use 87% of the welfare, the legal immigrants 10%, and the illegal immigrants 3%.

Also,

"increasing deportation rates and tightening border control weakens low-skilled labor markets, increasing unemployment of native low-skilled workers. Legalization, instead, decreases the unemployment rate of low-skilled natives and increases income per native."
Chassamboulli, Andri; Peri, Giovanni (1 October 2015). "The labor market effects of reducing the number of illegal immigrants".

"undocumented immigrants to the United States "generate higher surplus for US firms relative to natives, hence restricting their entry has a depressing effect on job creation and, in turn, on native labor markets"."

You really don't seem to know what it takes to get the government handouts. As if one gets them just if one asks. As if there wasn't tons of paperwork and questions and background checks. As if the government didn't prioritize American citizens and legal immigrants.

And let's talk about the "decline in the quality of health care", and "overcrowded classrooms".

1) HAS the "quality of health care" declined? Doesn't look like it. People COMPLAIN more, though.
2) What has president Trump done to improve the quality of health care? Nothing.

1) ARE the classrooms overcrowded? About 1/4 of USonian classes are too big.
2) Is it because of undocumented immigrants? No.
3) What has president Trump done to solve this problem? Absolutely nothing. ESSA doesn't even mention it, or offer any solutions. It just accuses the teachers for the problem and makes them accountable for things they can't influence in any way.

Let's talk about "competition", then.
When the liberals say EVERYONE should have work, they are talking about the American citizens. They care about the works for the lower classes in USA, those Americans who don't have rich parents who paid for their education and gave them jobs in their and their friends' businesses. The conservatives talk about "competition in seeking jobs creats good things". Nevertheless, they blame everyone but the employer if you don't get a job. It's absolutely not because you weren't merited enough, qualified enough, talented enough, skillful enough, experienced enough, no, it was because of illegal immigrants and affirmative action.
Also, some people criticize the liberals for creating entry-level low paying jobs, and not well paying jobs.

The "American opioid crisis"... another thing where you don't think people who use opioids should take any responsibility.

But, let's see what president Trump has done about this. Effort, yes... results... not so much.

The murder statistics in Mexico are horrifying. It has nothing to do with Democrats, though.

"Gang members often approach new immigrants in the hallways of Long Island high schools, taking them in and promising a sense of belonging and protection. The new kids have no way of knowing the bloody history of groups as MS-13 or the Mexican drug cartels..."
Except that they were sent to USA to be safe from the Central American drug gangs, cartels, mafia, mobs, they know better than you the bloody history of the Mexican drug cartels. That is not the problem here, though. The problem is the "sense of belonging and protection". Telling them they are bad seed, human beings so bad not even Mexico want to keep them, monsters, animals, born to be rapists, criminals and drugdealers, won't make them feel safe and belonging. Hearing stories from their relatives about the harassment and violence the Latinx and Hispanics receive, in growing numbers, from the minor prejudice like telling a young woman born in USA "I will not tip illegal immigrants" and "go back to where you came from", to actual targeting them to kill them, like the El Paso shooting, doesn't much make them feel they are also American citizens and are part of making the country greater.

The Context Behind Trump’s ‘Animals’ Comment

Transcript of Pelosi Weekly Press Conference Today

In my mind it is clear president Trump was referring to the MS-13, but it is also equally clear that the Speaker was talking about undocumented immigrants, who indeed are not animals. Was she present when president Trump spoke? Or did she have to rely on second hand information and hearsay?
Maybe you might choose to not believe in hearsay, just because it fits your agenda and preconceived notions, then?
Nah. Who am I kidding. “The reality is, like, there are no adults in the room anymore”, said Donald Trump jr.

It's a good question, though. Does Donald Trump sr. not believe in the spark of divinity, the dignity and worth of every person? Why is it hard to answer? Why is it such a "ridiculous" question?

What happens in Mexico is really just a diversion. Trumpettes don't care one bit about anyone non-American, and they don't care one bit about half of the Americans either. They only care about themselves. They pretend to be very concerned about people being abused and beheaded and butchered, but they would send them to other countries to be abused, beheaded and butchered as much as the perpetrators want to. The idea that these people might want to rescue their children from that reality even if it meant they got separated at the border, doesn't even cross their minds.

Also, they yap about MS-13, but don't bother even mentioning the violence of the right wing extremists, white supremacists, fascist, nazis, who support his dad, those he doesn't even bother mentioning. KKK members live in these "safest communities".

The guy who blew Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building up, and killed over 100 people of whom many were children, was a white Rightie. 90% of mass shooters are white US citizens. Most rapes and murders happen by someone you know, and as 60% of the population is white, so are the rapists and murderers. And you are accusing children in cages?
Oh, sorry, it hurts the Republican sensitivities to call those cages... what was the non-triggering, "correct" term? Chain link partition?

The violence in faraway places such as Mexico and El Salvador don't reach your homes, the violence in close-by places like USA do, and no border control will keep it away.

Illegal immigration doesn't endanger American lives, at least not what you consider being American lives, that is not-poor white Christian natural born citizens.
Illegals don't take the jobs - nobody "takes" jobs, all jobs are given by the employer. Don't blame the people the employer chooses to give the jobs. Let's not let the employers off the hook.
Illegals don't strain the health care system, because you have to be documented to take part on it, and people coming from America South of the border don't like to use health care. Not even legal immigrants like to use it.

Also, to paraphrase something gun toters love to say "criminals don't follow laws". It's ILLEGAL immigration. They come in spite of every effort you put up.

"The Democrats and their cohorts in the media are always engaged in a spin cycle that goes something like this:

an illegal immigrant commits a crime, sneaks a few hundred kilos of heroin into the United States, or votes illegally. Prominent Democrats stay silent, preferring to focus on important issues such as how cow farting is harming the ozone layer.

"Cow farting harming the ozone layer" is more important issue than some illegal immigrants voting illegally. I can't imagine they would bother going through all the mess it requires, and the consequences of even a couple thousand illegal votes is insignificant. Biden won with almost 10 million votes.
Few hundred kilos of heroine... I doubt there is one person found with that much heroine. The biggest drug bust was 30 kilos. In a truck that came over the border through the legal port. About million Americans use heroine, and there's about half a million dealers caught every year, and about 8.000 kilos, so I don't think there's much talk about individual drug busts either.
Frankly, the Republicans aren't talking about that, either.

Next, a conservative points out that we might have a problem with illegal immigration, maybe after mourning the death of an innocent kid whose life was taken by MS-13.

No, he is too busy trying to make laws to control what happens with wombs. Also, if the kid wasn't white, they aren't interested.

But then the liberal machine fires up, and dozens of members of Congress start yelling about how racist and evil the Republican Party is.

If they do, it was because some Republican said something racist and evil. Like "White European immigration made USA great".

There is no such thing as a substantive immigration debate in this country, and the Democrats have done a brilliant job ensuring that there never will be.

Except that there is. Everyone agrees it doesn't work, that there are problems, that something must be done, but people disagree on what is the best way to do it.
2013 the Democrat led Senate passed a comprehensive bill - with stricter border control - but it was shot down by the Republican led House - because the Republicans would kill anything Obama might want.

"Meanwhile, two hundred American children are dying of overdoses each day. Two hundred a day."

Oh, you make it sound as if you cared... but, if you do, I have some good news for you. It's not true. During the last 20 years, about 10.000 children and teens have dies of overdose. That's about 3 in 2 days. Most of them were accidents. Adults around them were being careless and the child overdosed without understanding what they were doing. Some were murders. Of course it's not something to be ignored, but it's a lot less than "two hundred a day".

"First the Democrats sent the residents’ jobs overseas; now they sit and do nothing as parents bury children there at unprecedented rates."

Interesting... So you blame the Democrats about what happened during Bush jr's presidency, the global recession, the fact that the employers decided to send the jobs overseas because they were greedy - I bet most if not all of them are Republican, and earned a lot of money with that - and then of the opioid crisis - which is partly due to the opioid pain killers the doctors swore would not cause addiction.
And then you invent some kind of child pestilence.
What have your dad done about it? I don't see any of you breaking your necks - oops, sorry, backs - to help them.

"In 2013, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Cryin’ Chuck Schumer, and just about every other Democrat senator voted for a bill that included seven hundred miles of border wall. Obama agreed to sign it and said that the bill was “consistent with the key principles for commonsense reform that I—and many others—have repeatedly laid out.”

And allow me to remind you of what happened to this. The Republicans killed it.

“We are a generous and welcoming people, but those who enter our country illegally, and those who employ them, disrespect the rule of law.

“And because we live in an age where terrorists are challenging our borders we simply cannot allow people to pour into the U.S. undetected, undocumented and unchecked.

“Americans are right to demand better border security and better enforcement of immigration law.”

Yes... Barack Obama said this 2006. And 2019 you sit there quoting this, while saying "Democrats don't want to do anything about this!!!"

"And by the way, this whole hysteria about kids in cages? Well, it began under Obama"

Not quite. The "cages" were indeed built during Obama's administration, but children were not separated from their parents, and they didn't stay there for more than 3 days.
If you don't see any difference, try putting one of your children alone in one room for a month - uh, let's say two, so the elder can take care of the younger - and you stay with the rest of the kids in another room for three days. See that the rooms have that chain-link chic, cement floor and mattresses and those silver foil "blankets", and the nice cleanliness Melania mentioned.
And remember, you are to pretend to be criminals and rapists and drug dealers coming to USA to spend welfare money and kill everyone. You are angry for being caught, but at the same time enthralled by the luxury of having your own bed.
Also, you will never see those two in the separate room again. If they

“We have to send a clear message: Just because your child gets across the border, that doesn’t mean the child gets to stay. We don’t want to send a message that is contrary to our laws or will encourage more children to make that dangerous journey.” Weird, right? Sounds just like my dad, but when Hillary says it, no problemo!

I don't think it sounds just like your dad... he would probably say it much more scrambled, repeating himself, putting in a couple of confusing referrals, plenty of names, like "vicious coyotes" and "ruthless gangs", and say something that at least sounds racist. And probably attack some Democrats as well.

It is interesting that you keep quoting Democrats supporting limited immigration, stricter border control, and policies against illegal immigrants, and then say they don't.

"Well, my father was elected president, and they decided they hated him more than they wanted to protect the United States"

Yeah, sure...

There has been nothing like this against Trump. The Republicans even shot down the immigration law, just because it was during Obama's presidency.
But, sure, none of you care one bit about the truth, or facts or verifying information, if it can be verified, you will deny the validity of the source, even though you use it yourself.
Deplorable, indeed.

"The fact is, we all agree we need to secure our borders while honoring our values," Pelosi said. "We can build the infrastructure and roads at our ports of entry. We can install new technology to scan cars and trucks for drugs coming into our nation. We can hire the personnel we need to facilitate trade and immigration at the border. We can fund more innovation to detect unauthorized crossings."

Yes, Obama deported more people than Trump but context is everything
Obama deported criminals, and turned families back on the border, Trump wants to deport every "illegal immigrant", in spite of their situation, if they have committed any crimes (being in USA undocumented is not a crime), for how long have they been in USA, how much they have benefited USA, or how much of US resources they use. Except if they come from Europe.

(Some things that are illegal but not criminal: jaywalking, speeding, parking illegally...)

Besides... what is it? You have been whining the last 30 pages how the Democrats have destroyed the whole immigration by letting people in, and wanting to keep them in, and now you are whining about Obama deporting more people than Trump?

Dick Durbin's chain migration comment was rather stupid, but the whole sentiment is not. The leap from Africa as "shithole countries" to "chain immigration" as being "immigrated" in chains is not long. The president has been saying things just to troll liberals, his wife has done things just to troll liberals, his son has been saying things just to troll, his supporters have said things just to troll.

Trump’s plan to send migrant detainees to sanctuary cities draws concerns about cost, legality

I'm with Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone here. Fine by me.
But also with Matthew Albence and John Sandweg, ICE's directors, who know the situation much better than Donald Trump older or younger. It would be spending money just to piss people off, with no what so ever constructive results.

Cher: "I open my home to illegals, but I don't think it's fair to make one city responsible for all of them"
Donnie: "I guess the leftists are only pro illegals when they can lay the huge burden on someone else."

Trump Plan To Cut Foreign Aid Endangers U.S. Interests

"All the hysteria surrounding the wall"... all the "hysteria" is to say it costs too much, takes too long to build, and isn't going to solve any problems, and guess what. We were right. And you are yet another guy screaming "hysteria!" when told by women your ideas are stupid and won't work.
*sigh*

And now he introduces yet another issue. The Foreign Aid. He doesn't know what Foreign Aid is being used to, he doesn't know where it comes and where it goes, why, when, how and what it is. But still he thinks it's good to cut it.
Even though most everybody is against cutting it, not just Democrats.

Ted Kennedy supported the Immigration Act, it was not his proposal.
And it wasn't wrong. Some of these "third world" immigrants are now generally better educated and higher paid than average native born households.

It's not your job to be nice to anyone, or take care of anyone but Americans, but you aren't taking care of Americans. Kicking out all immigrants isn't going to solve USA's problems, because USA's problems are not the immigrants' fault.

Let me tell you how I see USA. USA is not known for being a welfare state, it is known to be the country of promises, hope and dreams, a place where you can become something, make something of yourself.
I find it really hard to believe anyone would come to USA expecting to be given things. They come to Sweden for that.
My idea of USA is a place where you shouldn't get sick, because you have to pay even the ambulance. There is no safety net, or support system, especially if you don't know anyone.
You can't go and eat out unless you are rich, because there's all kinds of hidden expenses, and you have to tip, because the employers don't pay salaries to the waitresses, which means that if the waitresses think you won't tip, they'll spit in your food. And they get really angry if you tell them their employer should pay their salary, not the customers.
It's a great country, if you are young, strong, and have great "wanting" in you. If not, it's one of the worst countries in the world.
As far as I can see, even Americans who are in need of help, support, money, food, aid, benefits wish they were somewhere else.

So the immigrants who come, come because they have bought the American Dream, and they believe they have something to offer, or because their families are there.

"He believes that our veterans should be taken care of before even one dollar goes to helping an illegal immigrant on food stamps or paying for undocumented students to go to college."

Yet he spends millions of dollars to build a wall, that won't solve the problems, because the problems aren't what you say they are. It's not illegal immigrants. It's not poor families crossing the desert to get to USA. It's organized criminality.
He spends millions of dollars challenging "the most secure election in U.S. history".
He spends millions of dollars going golfing around the world.

Veterans are precious and important, but there are other things that are important as well. Jobs, health care of every American citizen, retirement funds, military, education, environment, energy, economy, and so on and so forth.
If you ask people to choose between veterans and undocumented immigrants, nobody is going to pick the immigrants. Except perhaps to f a trumpette off.

Merit-based Versus Family-based Immigration Explained

I don't think your five children will ever have any problems. I doubt Trumps will ever be poor, and in USA it's money that counts, not merit.

The US borders aren't "lax".

"Unfortunately, the technology in use by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) today is about as up to date as Nintendo. I know, having worked on a mostly privately funded national campaign, how easy it is to get your hands on technology that keeps incredibly detailed information on people. In presidential politics, this is the name of the game. If our federal government had even a small percentage of the technological capability of the average private sector corporation or political campaign, finding potential terrorists in a pool of 1 million visa applicants would be easier than locating Elizabeth Warren on an Indian reservation."

Ha ha. So funny. You're killing me. I'm dead now.

Why doesn't your federal government have even a small percentage of the technological capability of the average private sector corporation or political campaign? Your daddy can obviously spend millions on his own private sector corporation and political campaigns, but to invest the same amount to the country he claims to love, nope. Why not? If it's just "a small percentage" of "the average corporation", it shouldn't be a problem.
I guess Trumps are only patriots when someone else pays the bills.

"Instances of Islamic terrorism on US soil—which have already declined sharply since Democrats lost control of the White House"

Sounds like there's been a lot. There hasn't.

BTW, 9/11 happened when the Republicans had control of the White House.
Obama didn't lose even 1/10 of that amount of people to terrorism, and that's all included, Islamic, left wing, right wing, mass shootings and other related incidents, like riots and accidents.
During Obama's 8 years 267 people were killed, and 673 were injured,
during Trump's 4 years, 233 people were killed and 954 people were injured.

I don't think the US citizens much care who does the killing here.
Most of these couldn't have been thwarted through immigration policies, because they were committed by American citizens.
Aurora movie theater shooting, Sandy Hook Elementary School, Sutherland Springs church shooting, Las Vegas sniper, Parkland High School, El Paso... I don't know about you, but I am much more alarmed about people killing random people in shopping malls, churches, schools and movie theaters, than about Islamic terrorists attacking military targets.

You can microchip the immigrants and tourists, and citizens, too, for all I care, to make it easier to find them.

One doesn't need to be hysterical to know ICE doesn't work well. Even the ICE agents complain about it. Also, it's only 20 years old. USA managed the immigration and border control before ICE, and will be able to manage it after. None of these "hysterical" democrats you blame have even implied there shouldn't be any control of immigration and borders. They all, even Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, want to replace it, not just remove it.
Frankly, it's you being hysterical, over a broken toy.

"The American people know there’s a problem at the border."
Everyone knows that.

"They know that everyone who’s coming over isn’t a good actor."
No-one has said anything different.

"They know it’s not the American dream that many of today’s immigrants seek but the easy American dollar."
Does your Ethiopian friend agree on this?
Is she still your friend, now that she knows you think she shouldn't even be here, because the 1965 immigration law is the worst thing ever, because it lets people from $#ⓘ†hole countries like Ethiopia, and she hasn't been vetted for merit, but slipped in because she's "refugee", and she's in USA just for the easy American dollar?
Or does she still believe that you aren't talking about her?
What will you do the day she wakes up and sees the truth?
